I noticed the LED illuminates the panel where the ECT switch and USB jack is.

Hard work, especially in the cold weather, but I managed to get these installed today.

Made a prototype fairing for my rear cab load bar to throw wind up over the shell and cut down on the noise. Seems to work alright. Ill likely clean it up, paint it and put it into use for a while. Gotta throw some vinyl or something under the leading edge.

Some say to use some anti-seize when using metal caps to prevent dissimilar metal corrosion and basically welding themselves to the valve stem. They do look really good too!

OK, so, I'm going to mention this even though it's quite insignificant in the scheme of things.

My kids are 3 and 5, both boys. I think some of you on here are also parents of small children. We usually drive the minivan but sometimes I take them to Jiu Jitsu or the bagel shop or Home Depot in the truck. They've gotten a bit more aggressive in how much they like to punk me, the 5 year old encourages the 3 year old who has no concept of right/wrong or boundaries and they both giggle as they find ways to annoy their oppressive dad.

One of their favorite things to do in the truck is roll the windows down. Especially if I don't want them to.

The way the Tacoma works, the window lock also locks out the driver's ability to adjust the windows. So it's a good enough lock if the windows are already up and the lock is on. But it doesn't help get the windows up when they are down and an obnoxious child is holding the switch. Hence yelling and general unhappiness. And it also blocks the front passenger who might have opinions about the driver deciding when she can or can't use her window. Just maybe.

With significant help from the ever prescient @caribe makaira I planned out a switch and relay solution to cut power to the switch. Which would require running some wire (which I bought) and a switch (which I bought) and one or two relays (which I started to put together) when I got the feeling that, man, this is just too much work. I figured I'd double-check that simply disconnecting the switch wouldn't do what I want, it doesn't.

But, since I have KTJO bowl lights, I then tried depinning terminal 2 and it works exactly how I want. That was the plan with the switch and relay, when activated it'd break pin 2 which is +12v to the switch. Driver controls rear windows up and down, rear passengers can press the switch but it doesn't do anything, illumination is all good. To fix I can replace the jumper in the T harness and it'd be back to original operation. I figure that won't happen for a few years with these two. Maybe never. Who really wants rear passengers to have any say in anything?

If you're wondering which is pin 2, it's the solid white wire in the middle of the row which has 3 terminals. The connector is 7 pin with the other row's middle pair providing dimmed illumination. Diagram below courtesy of caribe.

Here is my first Tacoma. A 2021 TRD OR. She has 3 miles on her in these pictures at the dealership.
    123_1(2).jpg 123_1.jpg 123951.jpg
First mod was adding the center console organizer set from Amazon.
    20210110_133127.jpg 20210110_133133.jpg

Then I installed Seatjackers from @EasyDoesIt along with the bracketeer fire extinguisher seat mount seen with a Halotron extinguisher mounted.
    20210110_133420.jpg

Next was the tailgate lock from sabellco.
    20210110_133330.jpg

Here i installed the 3TPAM and Rago Fabrication molle panels and bridge.
    20210110_133206.jpg

I also put in the @MESO customs Chrome delete kit and an AJT blackout emblem for the steering wheel. I got the vent rings on the way to replace the chrome ones.
    20210110_133215.jpg

Gotta have the auto lift hood struts from recline tuning. Gonna be honest, I did not like drilling into a truck I got 24hrs ago. But it turned out awesome.
    20210110_133253.jpg

Lastly, I put on some molle seat backersfrom Amazon and the dog cover for the backseat.
    20210110_133314.jpg

This was all done in 2 days over this weekend. I'm waiting on some more parts to arrive before I can start working on the electrical portion of my build.

Thanks for all the inspiration and tips guys. Good to be here!

Was thinking of making some wire harnessed with different colour LEDs and put them in the BST thread.

the ram was a good mount. I just didn’t like the fact I had to use two hands to put the phone up there. Plus with the QuadLock, you have to have their case in order for it to mount. You can have almost any case you want with the Ram.

There was actually a dude on here that was 3D printing them. It was a long time ago and can’t remember his call sign, unfortunately. :(
