You should def sell these. Maybe 3 options? Brake, reverse, both?

True , but it could always be improved. I’m down for a more dedicated version.

The truck is on a temporary hold at the moment, a topper and kings in 2 weeks should hold her over for a little while

    Edit ...

Well until Meso releases the sunroof Molle rack , can’t pass that up

I am considering producing them on a small scale. @memario1214 will soon have some reverse taps, and I will probably just kick out brake light taps. But doing a combined tap is possible, and not hard. Help me with my research here if you don’t mind? What would you use a reverse/brake tap for? Just wondering if something like that would benefit from a longer wire.

Okay, so would these be better if I terminated the ends? Help me with some input. My topper is all the topper experience I have :)

I wouldnt necessarily use it personally, but it would make adding a 3rd brake light to a topper / camper way easier and safer. Then back up lights akin to memario.

Brake license plate led bar. I have the VLED reverse bar that’s been great for the past few years. Been thinking of adding the brake version and this would persuade me

That's a tough one. Me personally I would want a waterproof plug on the other end, so unterminated?

Yeah, my thought was kind of leaving it unterminated because most toppers are going to just run “bare” (as in not in a loom) wire down there.

For the brake, unterminated would be best so you can run it into the bed easier and add wire loom.

For the reverse, if it's a weather proof connector that matches up with the reverse light kit, then pre terminated would be nice.

Reverse would be cool because you could attach another set of lights to it to give more illumination for better visibility when backing up. We all know with campers and toppers visibility isn’t the best from the OEM setup. It’s much better with Meso’s stage 1 or 2 Taillights, but with a extra set of lights back there that you could angle any way you want would be phenomenal. Especially if they we’re triggered to come on when put in reverse.

Note: I'm a 2nd gen, but answers still apply.
I plan to add supplemental brake/turn/reverse lights to the top of my camper so that when I have bikes on a hitch rack, people can still see my taillights/reverse/etc.

I think most people would like a reverse tap to trigger a relay powered from the battery for overpowered back up light pods from Diode Dynamics, Baja Designs, Amazon, et al.

No. I have a 6-pin molex connecter going into my camper wiring channel and I would just add this 1 wire to the existing connector with the corresponding molex pin.

It would actually be easier to do all all the taps on a 2nd gen. They use 1 connector with brake/reverse/parking/turn in it, where on the 3rd gens, they are broken out amongst 3 separate connectors. I will probably offer 2nd gen harnesses, but maybe on an order-to-suit kind of basis? The money on these things is in the connector housings, so if a 2nd gen owner want 1 tap or 3, it really wouldn't make a price difference.

I have inside information that @memario1214 will soon be offering a reverse tap that will have a weatherpack on the end to mate with the coming @MESO reverse hitch light. But I think I could probably do special orders when I get running if people are patient and want that odd end? I get wanting something different, anyone who has ever sold me anything can attest to that  I don't think I would be stepping on anyone's toes doing one of oddities. Plus, that is the kind of stuff I prefer anyway
