    Evening guys,

I was playing on the ham radio for about a half hour and made it to Nicaragua. Rekindled that hobby over the weekend from almost a year hiatus.

    What’s up boys n girls!
Been a long holiday season. I. Am. Beat. Took on a pt job at FedEx. Thought it was just for the holiday rush. Turns out it was pt but perm. That’s cool. Nights. Hours sucked ass but the pay was good.

The same day I applied for that job, I applied for a FedEx courier driver job. 3 weeks into night job, was interviewed and offered the courier job. Woot! Get to drive around someone else’s van all day!:burnrubber:

gave 2 week notice to night job. Got called into boss lady’s office the next day. She proceeded to tell me about a position there that they haven’t been able to fill for months and it was mentioned that I might be a good fit.

    Shit. Now what?

I weighed pros/cons of each over a weekend. Declined courier job and rode out the apply/interview/offer process of this other job.

Today, I am officially the new Operations Coordinator for our station that covers southwest Utah! :hattip:

so I saw an article about camping in Grand Teton. They're moving all camps to a reservation system this summer. Great. They need it. Only about 20% of the sites were reservable previously and getting a campsite is a shitshow down there. However they've taken the opportunity to raise the fees. Again. Basic sites are now over $40 a night! Three years ago they were $20ish a night and last year they were in the mid $30ish range. So a 20% hike AND, oh yeah, there's a fee for making the reservations online. One night of camping will cost you about $50 now for a gravel site with no electric and only toilets, no showers. Comparable sites in Yelly are still in the mid $20 range. How? Why? The two parks are right next door to one another, how can one justify charging so much more?
Guess my moose hunting trips will be pretty limited this year...

I just totaled everything up. Assuming all campgrounds are booked and everyone is paying the full fee (no senior discounts) they're pulling in about $57k a night. Take that multiplied out over the summer from Memorial day to Labor Day and they're taking in close to $7 million.
