What do you mean by "new ECUs available"? So I can get new tunes for 2021s for no charge?

That means support has been added for new ECUs. All the stock tunes from Toyota are included with the vf install to use as a starting point

Where? They sent me the 2.0 files in a zip file but there’s no stock tune. When I try to download the Bin File I get an internal server error. I don’t understand where they put the stock tunes.

    Hmmm

Just got my taco a few weeks back.
This topic is very interesting to me, I always used a Cobb accessport on my STI and I’ve been researching a good tune for the Tacoma since the sluggishness is real. I love the truck but the driving experience on road could be better.

comparing Cobb on a turbo STI to this will lead to disappointment

while there is some improvement in torque (especially down low), it's not easy to make real power on a NA engine with ECU tuning

IMO, the real benefit of OVTUNED is in fixing the screwed up OEM shift logic (if you have an automatic)

Still well worth the price of admission though. The drivability is much better, but just know you won't be winning drag races.

Oh I’m not comparing, my expectations are fully grounded.

im looking for a hardware/software parallels as far as improving the driving characteristics of the truck. I’m fully aware it will not perform alike and they don’t have to as they are completely different vehicles.

I would like a bit more response from the taco coupled with more efficient shifting.
