    From what I’ve read, and what I use, Garmin Mini is the way to go. Super discrete as well. There’s an adapter on Amazon that you can use to plug it into the connector on the review mirror as well, but I have two dash cams (front and rear) so I installed a dual USB to the left of my steering wheel.

    None that I know of. You'll need to buy a GoPro to 'whatever dash cam you buy' adapter, and the correct adapter for your mirror plug (there are different numbers of pins for different mirrors).

    You could always get the dash cam mini, or any dashcam for that matter and get the harness that plugs into mirror from Amazon. Quick and clean install.

    Can you see it?

    @vicali,
    Just a heads up on the BlackVue. I installed the 750-2CH in my 08 Tacoma 2 years back. I tested it on first install and it worked. I did notice immediately, with the WiFi turned on on my IPhone I could not stream anything through my phone, the connection to the BlackVue blocked the stream whether it was music, a Podcast, whatever....
    I thought nothing of it until I recently totaled my truck. Grabbing the BlackVue from the wreckage, I figured I would watch the crash. I have no memory of the accident at all so I'm not sure how it happened. I just now realized that the entire 2 plus years I had the BlackVue I recorded nothing. I only listen to music/podcasts through my phone so I had to turn off the WiFi every time I drove, hence nothing was ever recorded. I have no footage or memory of the crash.

    Wow, that’s terrible. I’m really sorry to hear that. Did you have a card in the camera?

    I don’t stream my phone or connect in any way to the BlackVue other than while I download clips through the app. I’ve also pulled the card and downloaded them directly to a desktop machine.

    I’ve had it for two years now and have no problems pulling videos;

    Driving the wrong way on a divided road. He was awake but non responsive when I checked on him before EMS arrived, he was an old guy and I suspect a medical issue caused the accident. I don’t think he ever took his foot off the gas after hitting the truck. Now the guy in the white car (hit head on by the old guy) is claiming all kinds of medical even though he said he was fine at the scene. I suspect he found an ambulance chaser to take his case. His insurance agent and an investigator have been blowing up my phone with questions. I told them to watch the video first, then call me.

    I didn’t know it won’t record when steaming music and the card had only footage of my truck in a parking lot. The card memory was full and all that footage was from a year back.
    If I get another dash cam, it won’t be one that feeds through a smart phone. I had a cheap ($100) E-Prance cam prior to the BlackVue. It lasted 3 years and recorded all my driving with no issues, I’ll be going with something like that.

    Does the mirror wiring adapters support parking mode and automatic voltage cutoff?

    I haven’t installed mine yet, but I doubt it. I can’t see the mirror wires being hot all the time.

    I'm looking at buying this same camera for my Tundra. It asks if you have the JBL head unit when determining vehicle compatibility so I'm wondering if it will project on my head unit.

    The videos look like a really simple and clean 10 minute install.

    Since I don't have a Tundra I can't answer your question. Are you asking about the adapter? I got mine on Amazon but don't remember if it asked that question. Best of luck with your search. Mostly I forget it's there. I do wish it had a parking function but since this is the first dash cam that I've owned, don't know what I'm missing

    Not sure, but I think the Tacoma can come with the JBL head unit also. I was just wondering if having the JBL gives the Garmin Mini additional functionality, like the capability of seeing the video on your monitor via Bluetooth. The technology in the Tundra generally matches the Tacoma.

    Mine didn't come with a parking mode cable, so I'm not sure that's even offered any more with Garmin Mini. I just put mine in yesterday, seems to work great, but there isn't even an on/off for Parking Mode in Settings. Anybody know? Apparently this feature kind of sucked anyway.
