I started going bald in my 20's, started shaving my head in my late 20's. I had a mustache as soon as I could grow one (17ish) and a goatee as soon as that came about. I used to shave twice a week with a straight razor, head and face. Now, I just run the electric clippers over it on the lowest setting once every week. I've never been a fan of shaving. My dad has always shaved every morning when he gets up, no matter what day it is.

Back when I was a volunteer fireman we had to do the mask seal test once a year and sign a paper saying we had facial hair (most of us did), I guess for insurance purposes. That's one reason my dad has shaved everyday, he was a professional FF.

That's awesome! If I grow my beard more than 3 weeks it starts itching like crazy.

I did the same thing. The side mounted filament spool holder is a great mod.

My boss made an enclosure around his to help keep dust off. The front is a door.

I did that to the vice off my old Welding Rig now it is on the Work bench.

If I need or want to I could install it in any of my Receiver Hitches.

I have both size Square Tubing and Make these quite often for all manor of interesting things

That is a really good addition as well. If he wants to print something out of abs or nylon an enclosure to keep the heat is incredibly helpful

I could grow a full beard by 15 years old of course Mom was old School and beards were for bums back then.

I shaved when she Bitched My High School picture I had the Sonny Crocket look .

Outside in just Shorts and sneakers someone called the Police they thought they spotted a Sasquatch !

The only time I shaved was Working in locations A Air Pak might be needed to escape.

Mom went gray early in life, dad went bald early on. I got the gray hair early in my 20’s. I’ll take those genes over the bald ones any day!

I’ve always shaved every 2-3 days, never grown a beard as I can’t make it past the 3rd week without going insane, it’s even worse now that we wear masks.
I tried shaving every day, but I get horrible razor burn on my neck, so I have to have at least 2 days of growth to be able to shave comfortably without getting ingrown hairs.
Last year I bought my first electric foil razor, it took getting used to, but now that I have been using it constantly, it’s really helped stop the razor burn and ingrown hairs.

Oh yeah, Mornin’ Shane & scallywags!

I’ve grown my goatee out a few times, wife couldn’t stand it. Told her I was going to donate it to locks of love. She said nobody needs pube hair

I've tried every razor I can, my neck is the worse for razor burn. I've got an electric razor too. That is one reason I don't shave often anymore, my neck. I do clean up if we need to go to a funeral or something.

It's been 7 years for me. No matter what razor combo I'd use it would always get irritated and inflamed. Decided screw it and haven't shaved since. That and it's nice no longer getting carded for candy
