What are those airguns running and does it require licensure of any kind in MA? Was thinking about that or maybe a crossbow

not cheap... the sky is the limit with air guns as far as price goes.

Air guns can run the gamit. A good one can be be $300 and then they skyrocket from there, all the way up to a couple grand. No idea on the licensing requirements for either but I'd really hope you can still own a BB gun without a firearm license.

some years back I was at my local range with my 10/22 and the guy next to me was shooting fresh coconuts with an air rifle, I was fairly impressed... he said he was using it for hunting I vaguely remember but I think he said turkey I could be wrong

Yeah I have no idea about a license, certainly nothing here in NH. As said above some can be big money! And yes, some are very capable of hunting small and even medium game with. I'm going to pick one up for plinking fun at some point.

the story goes that the air rifle is the gun that helped discover the west

apparently it was an air rifle that was used in the lewis and clark expedition

5.7 ammo is literally almost impossible to get right now. The Ruger 57 is a gun pistol but quite large for concealed carry. It would be nice to have double the velocity of 9mm though.

Can anyone recommend a quality aftermarket 2.5” SI/SO muffler to replace my MBRP axle dump exhaust. It was a straight through race muffler and the drone is terrible. I want something that is nice and quiet while cruising

Look at Borla cans, or one of the longer Flowmasters like the 50 series. Or, look at adding a resonator in front of the muffler like a Vibrant.

Id vote with Mike, but probably better for a resonator, not sure about the 50 series flowmasters but my super44 is pretty loud on my Tacoma

You only have a DUI right? Isn't that a misdemeanor in Ma? If so no reason you can't get a LC.

Correct..but if I'm understanding right it's still off the table, though I've heard:

1: Since even first offense misdemeanor is punishable by a year in jail, something passed in about the past 5 years DQ's me.

2: I actually talked to someone at the Gun Owner's Action League and while not lawyers, I was advised by them that any OUI since 1994 is considered a violent crime.

Nothing wrong with the brands that they are recommending but honestly those are straight through or chambered designs. I personally would go with a real turbo muffler. The Walker turbo sounds awesome but is not stainless. If you want a stainless turbo muffler I think that Stainless Works is your best bet!

Not sure if they're still what they used to be, but I had a Thrush sonic Turbo on my Camaro. Sounded a little louder than stock if you laid into it.

    :pccoffee: Morning douchebags and douchbagettes.

Pro tip: If your downstream 02 sensors have been changed make sure whomever did it used the Toyota Stainless split nuts, and not anything else. I don't think I posted this last week, but driving home from taking my daughter to a docs appointment I suddenly heard what sounded like an exhaust leak. Crappy, but no a huge concern (or so I thought...). Keep driving and figured it'd take a look when I got home. Get off the Mass Pike, onto 495. We live in the town that's the first exit off 495S, so only a few miles from exiting the MA Pike. about a mile before the exit I start to smell burning and can see gray smoke coming up through the center console....fuck my butthole. Get off said exit, and immediately pull off onto the grass when i'm on Main St. Have my daughter jump out, grab my fire extinguisher and pop the hood.

There's gray smoke that smells funky. It's coming from the trans tunnel area, but I can't see any flames. Pop my head under the car, and can only see smoke but no flames. I can clearly see that the downstream drivers side O2 sensor has popped off of it's flange and is hanging down via it's wiring harness. Upon further investigation there is this presumably fiberglass(possibly asbestos) insulation on the underside of the trans tunnel on my Landcruiser, and when the 02 sensor popped off of the flange the exhaust was pointing right at part of that insulation. Looks like it eventually got hot enough to cause it to smolder. I don't think it ever actually lit on fire, just smoldered quite a bit. Get towed back home, which fortunately is about 1 mile away. Crawl under there and it's still smoldering so I throw on some gloves and start ripping it out. Super duper good times.

Anywho, looking back through all the maint records I had the PO had the downstream 02 sensors replaced a few years ago at an indy shop. Looks like they used non-stainless standard nuts instead of the toyota stainless split buts that Toyota uses to secure the 02 sensors. Studs were fine, just a little rusty. Sensor literally popped straight off the flange. Looking at the pass side there's maybe 1/8 of those nuts left holding that 02 sensor on. They literally disintegrated. It's dumb shit like that pisses me off. I got 4 of the nuts from Imperial Toyota in Milford for I think $1.30 ea. So how much are you saving using shit you probably have laying around the shop. :bananadead:

Fortunatly those studs use the same M8x1.25 thread (if you don't have an M8x1.25 tap and die set, you need one...) that Toyota uses pretty much everywhere on every Toyota, so I re-threaded the studs on the drivers side and re-installed a new densor 02 sensor and toyota split nuts. I still need to do the pass side, but the rust blobs are holding the 02 sensor for the moment....

I'd ask your local PD. Doesn't hurt to ask the source! You may be able to reason your case, you've been sober for a long ass time, don't have any 'violent' charges on your record.
