I hate the idea of drilling into metal but need to mount several things such as a subwoofer amp (and run the wires back behind the plastic) and the WeBoost cell phone booster (wires again) and a mount for the very cool Element fire extinguisher and ... you get the point. Since that space is not used and it's only plastic, it seems perfect for drilling into or even maybe putting up a chunk of molle mount (I'm sure someone makes one for that space.) But if there is something important back there I don't want to "do something bad"(tm).

    Thanks!

Here’s a picture of the back wall of my access cab after I added the sound deadening material but it should give you a good idea of what is there.14DF7B37-56EA-4D31-AC62-392B7CDBB2B1.jpg

Did adding the insulation really reduce the noise level significantly ?

yes, but I still need to add foam to the air dams (the two black horizontal plastic pieces) they allow air pressure to equalize easily when you close the doors, but they let a lot of noise in. Once I add the foam it’ll definitely help. I’m doing all four doors this week too. Inside door skin, and inside on the sheet metal. This will be my third vehicle and I have had really good results previously.

I notice a lot of noise on my 2020 vs. my old 2007. Is that back wall where it is coming from? Could you just add soft foam sheets like in Captqc's picture instead of peel and stick? The silver peel and stick does not look very thick.

6F77410B-F1A6-40B1-B0BB-B487CFC07E57.jpg Nice! Was this material already there or did you add it? I have the JBL sub and its ok (could be louder) but hate that i lost that storage space.

That material was stock. The stock jbl system sounds good only if you get an aftermarket radio that boost the input wattage to the jbl amp. I installed the dasita px6 and it didnt sound bad. Sub was actually alot more pronounced.
