Still trying to figure out my driveshaft vibes.

Anyone know if a carrier bearing can spin off center and still work?

When I pull the driveshaft off and spin the carrier bearing it wobbles a decent amount. Is that a sign that it's done for? I replaced it last year, so I wasn't thinking I'd have to get a new one yet. Also the rubber in it feels and looks totally fine otherwise.

Although I did have to replace a bad ujoint so maybe that caused it to wear prematurely.

    Probably correct. I’d replace it.

Not that you'll have an easier time finding one, but 80 series land cruiser head rests adjust forward as well

For the longest time I had 2000 limited leather seats.

Before that I had 1993 SR5 fully adjustable seats...

And now I decided I needed something with more long term comfort and got this

I love the 4Runner seats, been on a few cross country trips and was always comfortable, best mod I have ever done.

I'm admittedly a bit too tall for these trucks, it was something that I struggled with for a long time and was a reason why I sold my last truck. Killed my lower back and hips/ankles on long trips. The 4 runner leather seats were okay but nothing to write home about for comfort. Those older 93 SR5 buckets were way more comfortable and adjustable. But I really needed some more angle and height to take up all the extra leg length I have. So this new bucket does that and makes these tiny cabs tolerable for me for long trips now.

The 4runner seats, while only marginally more cushy than a stock 60/40, are much nicer looking and pretty cheap at junkyards. Toyota leather is pretty hard, cheap, and thin, so when you clean them (junkyard seats usually need some cleaning and conditioning) don't be too aggressive. The color dye can come off and they need regular conditioning to not dry out.

You really should condition your leather no matter what you own at least once a year, when the top smooth coat starts to harden it comes off in chunks and then it rips shortly thereafter. Toyota leather (not Lexus leather) isn't really all that durable.

It isn't mounted yet. Have to alter the bracket as the bumper tucks in so much.

Some folks get lucky, don't know what to tell you there. I'm no fan of leather in a vehicle that sees hard use anyway, but to make it last through UV and age I've always conditioned. My poor Land Cruiser seats (may they rest in piece) are a testament to how cheap and hard Toyota leather is and what can happen if you don't replenish the oils and UV resistant coating. Wish I could slap the original owner. Compared to the stuff you find in american or european cars, hell even the Lexus leather is much nicer.
