When I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Any day now.

 

Gonna stop procrastinating tomorrow.

Considering I haven't started looking and need to move into the new place May 1st... this is accurate.

 

Why don't you pull a @In4aride and just live out of your trucks and your Mom's trailer?

 

I bought my house 22 years ago, with the intent of moving after 5 or so years....
accumulating shit over time, and the fact that moving sucks, makes a difference.

That's funny. I was on the opposite end of that from 2005-2018. I lived in more than 22 places and it helped thin my posessions. I didn't own a vehicle from 2007-2014 when I bought my 1st gen.

 

Moving sucks. Only gonna move when i have a better idea of where I actually want to be

 

In 2011 I moved to Colorado with only what fit in my truck...now I'm beyond hope.

 

I have spent the last 6 years bouncing around noco (with a few 4-6 month stints on the western slope) and have lived in 10 houses/apartments in that time. When I rent I tend to realize that the people I'm living with suck, or I find a better job somewhere else. For the first time I am happy with my job and roommates, so I plan to buy a place in the same town and rent a couple rooms to the same dudes that I am currently living with. This will allow me to sit tight and not move for a few years for the first time since I moved out of my parents place when I was 17. Luckily my company has offices across the region, so if all goes according to plan, I'll build equity, sell the house for a stupid amount compared to the purchase price (the area is blowing up and expanding like crazy), and transfer to the Junctown office and get back over to the best slope.

To give an idea of the price increase over that time period in this area, the house I am currently living in sold as a new build in 2016 for $305k and is currently valued over $380k

 

Yea i definitely did not capitalize on all the wheeling, hiking, and mountain biking i could have when I lived in GJ
