    People like spending $600+ on a digital plate plus a monthly fee for the COOL factor.

    I don't see the point until the price comes down with quantity.

    It just amuses me that people are actually willing to pay extra for one of these plates, it's not like registration fees for vehicles in CA are cheap.

    To be fair I do pay extra for a set of vanity plates on one of my vehicles. That tacks-on an extra ~$80 a year but the vehicle they are on is very custom so custom plates are a good fit.

    I do wish that my state would step-up their license plate game. Utah, Nevada have much better plates then our standard (non-vanity) plates. First-world problems I guess :rolleyes:
