There is nothing wrong with posting a review factually describing your experience and the company’s response. It’s the shippers responsibility to ship intact product in such a way that they arrive undamaged and usable.

Farm and Fleet should be cheaper. AirGas and all the others seem way too expensive to me.

Do you know the Store Managers of your Local Distributors ??

The Counter people to the point every one pretends to be busy when you walk in or runs and hides??

Prices at distributors are on a sliding scale .

I am guessing your not Home when this stuff is delivered so you could inspect before accepting ??

Why would you not post a negative review ? Protecting the Guilty ?

I can understand sometimes getting to the store can be a pain in the butt but this is the second time or has it been more often?

Yes, the fully restored chairs from those places are insane money. We contacted a couple of the companies about making just the hanging bracket for us, quotes ranged for $250-450!

That's cool. I was fortunate to ride in a chairlift in Switzerland that goes up sideways! It was very old but very cool. I'm not sure it was 3k cool but cool indeed.

FWIW, just saw this setup get a price cut to $150 after using a $20 off $100 coupon (271099). Shipping's expensive, better for folks who can order online for in-store pickup.

Specs claim the top thickness is 4mm - dunno if that's rounded down from 8ga or whatever, and likely not heavy duty enough for some purposes, but figured I'd pass the info along for anyone who might find it worthwhile.

I am looking to pick up a second one. while not a heavy duty table, it is a decent for the price. If you can go to the store and hand select the box, making sure the corners are not bang up .. I would do that over ordering one and having it shipped. seen some reviews where the corners come bent after being dropped.

Here she is first welding project. Small 3 by 3 table. Just need to get a sheet of 3/16 for top and she’s all done! Not the prettiest but I’m proud of it lol. Welds not too bad either.

    Good point on the corners.

Shipping is expensive for this - might only be worth it to pick up in store.

I suggested ordering online for in-store pickup so anyone can use the $20 off $100 coupon -- I think you need the physical coupon if you just select one and go to the register, and they keep the coupon.

I looked at the certiflat tables - apparently they're 3/16" thick, which is 4.76mm, so this one at 4mm isn't _that_ much thinner. I'm sure it's not the same level of quality, but it's also a lot less expensive if you have a NT store nearby.

I've been eyeing this table. Would totally get one at the sale price, but shipping is the killer. I don't have a store close by.

Well, I pulled the trigger for pickup.

Interestingly since I posted this they've raised the price $10, but luckily it was still the lower price in my cart.

I really like Northern Tool and have one nearby - mixed blessing. LOL.

All the certiflat tables I’ve seen in person gain their rigidity from the 3/16 structure you’ll find underneath it. You’ve gotta weld the whole table together. It isn’t just a top, it’s a pretty cool process. I’d personally prefer a stronghand or siegmund table, but I don’t know anyone with a certiflat table that has complaints. For the money they are hard to beat.

LMAO, That's my luck. Proud of ya man. Looks good. Watch the heat and clean up the metal before you weld.
