I think I got it from Summit Racing if I remember right. Took a little thinking to get it to work, but I think it looks pretty cool.

Truck got a face-lift with an ARB after I sold the trail gear. Gotta say, I like this bumper wayyyy better. Also got a set of clear lenses for the light cutouts from
www.gamiviti.com/lenses so I can use them as fog lights. Also updated all my lighting to leds all the way around. Took off the camper shell for the summer, can't decide if I want to sell it or keep it, someone make me an offer if anyone's interested.

Hey man, did you have any trouble mounting those Pro Comp rims? I've heard so many times that they won't fit but then I see plenty of people running them. I've been looking to get them for a while now. Thank you!

ARB is the bomb. Took awhile to get mine mounted but it was worth the wait. Your truck is looking good, and the pace is perfect, no backtracking. Being patient and mostly broke myself is why mine is coming together in the way I want it to, for what I want to do with it.

Of course it is kinda on a weather hold right now so, I’m trying to do the wiring upgrades in a modular fashion so I can just bash out the installs out on a good weather day. I have almost got the relay panel wired and getting ready to run a cable aft for some rear under bumper work lights. AEDA46A2-E8FC-4223-9E40-61F534045ADD.jpg
Idle curiosity- what course of study? Have you thought about the trades at all? Good luck in your quest regardless of the path.

Now get that rig out in the dirt and go fishing!

Man it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here but I guess I’ll post an update. Trucks still pretty close to the last update but I got a color matched camper shell instead of the black one. Also looking at finding some better lights to go in the turn signal cutouts of the arb. Other than that she’s just been my ride while I’m in college lol. Have been doing a little fishing and shooting though when I have time.

Truck is looking awesome! LOVE the ARB bumper, can't wait to install mine!

If you haven't, check our Carolina 4runner Overland/Off-road group. Lots of good people in there and we set up rides fairly regularly. Would love to have another 1st gen tag along!

Just saw the last part of your post. I’m currently a sophomore and studying civil engineering, hopefully with a concentration in land development engineering.

Some idiot hit me coming out of the local Wally World, and I just got the truck back from alignment a couple of weeks ago. Hit the right rear side directly on the tire and broke the leaf spring and tweaked the axle around. Luckily there was no body damage since the front of his car was so much lower than my truck lol. Wasn't totaled out, so I bought 2 new leaf packs, 2 new Bilstein 5100 shocks, and had to buy 2 new tires and 4 new wheels since pro comp decided to discontinue the matte steelies I had before. Yes this was within a month or two of getting the new set and I was not happy. Whole thing was a joke, the other guy's insurance refused to pay even though it was 100% on him. Only good thing was I managed to salvage an old wheel and tire for a full size spare. But she's back and drives even straighter than before. Just found some new leds to fit into the cutouts on the ARB. Need to find a way to carry my spare and it should be done for a while or until I get another itch to add something.

Not related to the truck, but while I'm posting pictures might as well. God blessed me with a solid 8 point for central NC the day after Thanksgiving.

Would you have a part number available for the Hurst shifter?

There's a version of that shifter that has a switch made to the top of it, but I didnt like that so I just wired my OD to a different momentary switch that's not on the shifter.

Some of yall might have seen my question or WTB threads about it, but come to find out my rear axle housing is bent just enough from the wreck last year to eat up seals and bearings. The passenger side seal blew out last week and after removing the axle shaft the bend can be seen with the naked eye. I guess I'm lucky it lasted this long and close to 10k miles. I found an axle with 4.56 gears and only 60k miles just like mine that I'm picking up tomorrow and hopefully can start swapping it in. Pics and updates on the way.
