Just turned 54 and have had my Tacoma for 3 weeks. Loving every minute of it and feel less than half my age most days...

I used a slide rule in high school and saw my first calculator in college...now the doctors put a stint in your heart or in your head thru a vein in your leg (my wife had both). I'm old.

Will be 57 next month, this is my 9th Tacoma. I thought they were staring because of my looks....dammit.

Just finished installing my rear shocks I had planned to install with the coilovers, but kept neglecting. While doing that, thought this would be a great time to do the “boot slide mod”, done !

So now I’ve fired up the pit for this evening’s BBQ. Age is only a number, keep busy and be happy !!!

Yea, life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer to the end you get, the faster it goes.

Found some pics of my old 1999, my brothers 2004, and my wife's 1995 4Runner. Its a toss up between which one I miss most, the 4Runner or the Tacoma.

    I must raise my hand...

1 month old Tacoma Pro Manual. This is my first Ute / Pick-up.
    - First Tacoma too... Always enjoyed traveling in Toyota trucks on adventures - just never bought for myself until now. Always went for the fast cars that needed a smooth road... I really enjoy not worrying about even moderate road imperfections now! :p

I like tossing the Mountain Bike in the back and not worrying about the muck so much...

My first Toyota was a Land Cruiser (series 100). The Toyota reliability and the available manual gearbox (in the Tacoma) did it for me...

I guess I enjoy going slow(er) more these days as well. - maybe I am not so much in a hurry!)

    Cheers!

We look forward to road imperfections. The more imperfect, the better. Steep approach at a railroad crossing, no problem, hit it. Might get some air. Pot holes, curbs, small animals; Sport mode and throttle up.
Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.

I'm 66 and remember when a pick-up truck was a utilitarian tool not the blinged out contraptions they sell today. I almost pissed myself laughing when my son told me a friend of his was looking at trucks but wouldn't buy anything without heated seats.

I am in my early fifties and I have owned Toyota trucks since the 80's. But have also owned jeeps. Where I live it is more normal to see trucks and suv's than sedans. Although Audi's and Subies are very popular here

When we bought my wife’s car she did not want heated seats. We got the car with heated seats and now she can’t live without them! :D

My Tacoma came with heated seats as a part of one of the packages. I have to admit when I hurt my back moving about 30 sheets of sheet rock, the heated seats really came in handy on back while driving.

I bought a heated seat cushion from Amazon for 34 bucks. This is the second winter I've used it. Works surprisingly well considering what it cost.

The first time I sat down in a car with heated seats I thought I pissed myself.

My first car was a 1972 Toyota Corona. Bought a new 4x4 Toyota pickup in 1981. I have a 1995 Corolla commuter with 331,000. Wife drives a 2011 4Runner we bought used 2 yrs ago that had 43,000 on it. Super nice rig! Have wanted a Tacoma for a about a year. Found a clean used 2013 TRD Sport 4x4 the week before Xmas with 62,000 and I love it! It now has has 64,000 on it. Let em stare.

It was a 1979 Corona that started it all for me. Wish I could find one today.
