Nailed it here, but you forgot about just regular campers. I have room for 3 adults and 2 dogs, a fridge, freezer, kitchenette, restroom and shower as well as AC and heat. I can remove my setup and I have a regular old Tacoma. And for the price of one of these I can have 6 brand new setups like mine. As awesome as this thing is, it is in no way practical.

Also, contrary to your point about the wind, the extra weight is actually helpful for wind issues. I drive to Jackson, WY several times a year through some of the worst wind in the US. I noticed a huge difference when I went from a regular camper shell to my Capri. My truck cuts through the wind and the added weight keeps my rear end in place.

The era of soft men has arrived. It seems that grandpa who was snuggling grandma in the back of his 1979 4WD Toyota HiLux with his only amenity being a SnugTop, an Igloo full of Coors and some beef jerky was more hardcore than todays men.

Hope 80% percent of that camper holds fuel since you will need it for anything over 35mph...

The whole point of the Tacoma is it's size. Adding functionally a full size camper to it. Falls into the category of being insane. Just because you can does not mean it should be done.

I put this rig in the same category as a Delorean.

Delorean actually built 9000 cars. Earthroamer built only 260 vehicles in the past 23 years. How many do you think TruckHouse would build before going belly-up?

Looks super cool but if I had a cool $300k to spend on a vehicle it would not be on this. The taco is under powdered as is let alone with a camper on the back. One of the reasons I recently purchased my first taco is for its off road capabilities and I feel this drastically inhibits its off road capabilities.

Both of my vehicles are rusting, so clearly I don't own a Delorean. :bananadead:
