Newbie here. Longtime follower, first time posting. V6 2020 TRD OR 15,600 miles. Stuttering when cruising up slight hills when at low RPM 1000-1200, 40ish MPH. Give it more gas, RPMs up and stutter disappears. Feels almost like a slight misfire.
Noticed after a few days after filling up (87) last week. Any chance this could be the gas?

    Welcome to TW!

Could be bad gas, yes. Which gas station did you use? You have never noticed the stuttering before?

I recall where was some issue of the truck stalling on hills could be the gas fixed it. Have you checked if you qualify fir the fuel pump recalll? That press of the gas’s could force the fuel.

I have a 2017 OR and mine's been doing this exact same thing since day one. I am not on the fuel pump recall. I just deal with it.

2020 Offroad here. My truck stuttered between 45 and 50mph with low grade (87). Started using mid grade (89) and it appears to have stopped. It has been 2 months using mid grade. Hope that helps. Have know idea what is actually causing the stutter. Just my .02 cents.

Even though they recommend 87 with the terrible simulated Atkinson cycle premium actually makes a difference. I had a slight stutter under load when it transition's to Otto cycle, switched fuel and no issue. Theres quite a few threads about detonation under load due to this. Good luck.

I have the sr5 v6 auto and run regular 87 and the truck runs fine...you put premium or even mid-grade you'll notice a loss in performance and fuel economy. Imo, something else must be going on if its stuttering.

How do you figure loss of performance or fuel economy?

The fuel pump recall improved my stutter situation but did not eliminate it. It's slightly annoying but I can live with it.

My 2020 does this too. Same speed, same RPM.
    40-50mph @ 1200RPM.
