Checking my work email when I'm not at work is not conducive to good mental health.

Its just CO2. Its the only way to “recover it” because its to high pressure. Plus i was on a wide open roof.

Fair enough but the only pass I'm giving you is that you're on a wide open roof.

"Only CO2" is a dangerous attitude to take when in a confined space.... although a respirator wouldn't stop you from dying if you were in a confined space though

Some of the originally posted threads in the diy page have retired. Is there still a general suspension lift comprehensive post somewhere?

I have a 00 Tacoma xtra cab 4x4, got 265/70/17's today so before I get them mounted seems like a good time to replace my very worn stock suspension.

Looking for a ~2" lift. Have a cap so a little extra weight to account for. No winch or plans for aftermarket bumpers, have some land but nothing too crazy. Daily driver. Am I correct that 5100's would be a good option for a 2" lift? Maybe dakar medium leaf pack, and some adjustable spring perch coilver up front? I carry shit for work but not heavy stuff for long periods usually by any means. On occasion but not daily anymore. Only a few towing trips a year.

Greasable shackles too I presume? I've had to change failed ones on the side of the 380 and that was a bummer.

Where does everyone get this stuff? I have an account with tirerack but I remember seeing online retailers selling 5100s less than I can get them for?

Yeah I wouldn’t vent in a room that dumb. When I have to vent indoors i can usally tie into a pressure relief line and blow it outside.

CO2 is dangerous especially because we have some systems running at 1300psi. But i got enough respect and understanding of it that it stopped bothering me.

now to just get use to ammonia when we recover it

I don't know if there's still a comprehensive lift list anywhere but you're on the right track with everything you've mentioned.

Honestly so long as you don't go with a spacer lift you'll be fine

    4 run, 2 don't
There's a lift thread each and every day for first gens :burp:

Biggest questions are; budget, and intended use?

But yes, new thread daily on lifts alone.

Good, I'm glad you've got respect for that shit... I've seen alot of safety video courses over the years to know you shouldn't fuck around with gases

Well most my job is working around gases that will displace oxygen and kill if you get trapped. Also as liquid everything i work with can give serious frost bit in seconds. So you gotta respect it.

so even though working with its become second nature. Still gotta respect that it will kill you unforgivingly if you don’t respect it
