A little something every chance we get.
Fishing is drinking beer while being useless on the water. Golf is drinking beer while being useless on land. Both involve the pretense of "skill and strategy", and can devour all the time necessary to avoid actually doing something "useful". THANK Goodness for that!

Someone said yesterday that their back made them play par 3 - last time I played two years ago was first time in two years - and my back did NOT like my drive swing. But, I had never hit drives as well as I did that day. Control comes from mysterious places!

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Love your description Oldie2007 ! I don't do either one of these "sports" ! Fishing -- I was never good at having patience for fishing in the lake/river/whatever -- now that hand-fishing in the cooler for a cold beer (I made sure that lake was well stocked)-- I could always catch one of those! Golf -- I really think I would like it as I really like the outdoors and great landscaping -- but heck at 73 -- I got too many other hobbies now

Thanks for the info, I have talked to the well company on getting that done. Part of the problem here is our water table is way down this year due to the limited snow we have had which is adding to the sediment build up. Fingers crossed we get a lot of late winter and spring snow or we will have a real issue not only with wells but fires this spring and summer.

Fishing doesn’t require patients nor does it require exertion like golf. It only requires more beer.

Good morning, everyone!! A relatively quiet day ahead here - painting the nail pops that I repaired last week and spending some time on the treadmill.

I thought I posted this here yesterday - while I was at the college yesterday they gave me a retirement gift that had been ordered by the Veterans' group in honor of my retirement. It finally arrived- a flag that was flown over the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial on December 7th 2019, the 78th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. I'm a huge military history buff so this is a perfect and wonderful gift for me. As it turns out, December 7th is also the day that Lynn and I met - back in 1973.

Be safe and enjoy the day!!

I always thought that too, until I tried it 2 years ago. I suck at it, but it's a challenge.

Geriatric dog woke me up this early (3:30AM). May go back to sleep.

We are driving up to Camano Island to look at a house this afternoon.

Good Morning folks. Visiting with the Grand daughter in Camp Lejeune NC for a couple days before heading to St. Augustine Fl. She has been showing us around and she is taking us to the beach today so her puppy can run off some of his energy. The Grand daughter finds shark teeth on the beach so my wife wants to get some for her shell collection. Have a great one and be safe.

Good morning. Sounds like some have plans today. I am going to try and practice the guitar twice today. Might run out and get a propane tank refilled. Stopped yesterday at 12:00 none and was told to come back after 2. WTF.

Grilling up some chicken leg quarters today for dinner. They are in a wet brine right now. Have a good one guys and dolls.

No shark teeth, but a nice walk on the beach. Her puppy had fun and we did see a pod of dolphin about 200 yards from the beach. 20210113_140314.jpg 20210113_140322.jpg
They had the South end closed off for maneuvers but the Northern end was open. Nice beach day.
