Hello, I have been researching 6 inch lift kits for my tacoma. I have a 4wd 2020 xsp in cement grey. Most if not all 6 inch lift kits say in the description that they will not fit the "xsp-x" trim. I have the "xsp" not the "xsp-x" so, will these 6 inch lift kits work for my truck? Thanks for any insight as I am looking to purchase a lift soon.

I believe the those are just appearance packages. It probably has more to do with the 6" lift, than the specific model. At 6" I believe you're in fabwork territory, and a ton of work to do it right,,, so it may be more of a CYA. I would call manufacturer and known local reputable off-road shops for input.

It probably wont work with your stock rims without spacers. I believe most 6" kits require at least 18" wheels. I had to run spacers to keep my TRD 16's.

It will work. Btw, XSP is a package for the SR5 tacoma.

IMO these trucks look like ass anything higher than 3” of lift. and especially with 18 or 20” rims :anonymous:

So you're willing to chop your frame for a drop bracket lift?

Your choice, but understand the implications before making the move.

Do you really have to chop the frame?

Yes you do. I bought my truck with a 6" on it due to lack of education/research. I'm now looking at having a fab shop do something with the frame so that I can get the truck back down to a 3" lift. I wouldn't have bought the truck if I had realized the 6" lift is semi not reversible.

Start small work up to that lift as was said and I agree anything over 3 inch looks odd on these trucks, but 3 looks just about perfect.

It is for the most part. You have to cut out a cross member right behind the front diff to make room for the drive shaft once you drop the diff
