    Pop goes the Syncrowave!
Apparently we found the duty cycle at 300 amps. The 2 wires were resting on each other and the insulation melted and arced. Big POP! And black smoke rolled out of the case.
He was welding 1/4” aluminum at the time. Guessing the lug wasn’t making good contact and the cable heated from the looks of it.

Loose connections will get you every time.

Sounds like a Cap (Capacitor) exploded just which Syncrowave ??

The technical Term is Magic Smoke Escaped !!

The bad part is did the Cap take anything else with it.

Still cheaper to fix then a Inverter if parts are still to be had.

To far for a Service call

I asked him if he caught the magic smoke so he could put it back in. He was too busy crapping his pants from the pop!
It’s a Synchrowave 250. The foreman is getting some replacement cable to start diagnosing is it took out any other components.
