Well it’s installed (one of the perks of working from home and taking an early lunch). Some thoughts:

- I took tmaloy’s advice above and tweaked the upper mount slightly with the bolt before the handle was on. It took bending, but less than I thought. It was obvious that without bending alignment wasn’t happening. Even so, I feel like getting the right ‘twist’ on the trim piece to align both holes was a miracle. I think I got the lower threaded with dumb luck then at least it was held in place to start the upper which was a pain. Having taken off the passenger side at the same time made it obvious how much of a PITA this was. Install 4/10. It was easier and quicker to align and install a diamondback cover solo, mid winter than this.

-Fit and finish, I’ll give it a 7/10. I think this would drop more if it was next to the passenger trim/handle. I have a little tweaking to do on the lower cover to get it to fit flush, but I didn’t mess with it yet. Tolerances along the window and along the inner seal along the door appear similar. Mine came in decent shape. My garage is also dimly lit.

- Function, it’s a handle, and I can use it to pull my short butt up into the seat, which is what I wanted. 8/10.

-Customer service. It is what it is and that’s a 1/10. She made it right for me on the whole paying for priority, actual shipping via USPS ‘let’s have your package circumnavigate the globe, go MIA for a couple weeks, then show up 5 hours earlier than you’ve ever gotten a mail delivery’. And making it right is the only reason this got a point in scoring. Lessons learned, and I’ll stick to other vendors for my custom parts needs.

 

As if KTJO hasn't already distributed that money through multiple shell companies and bahamas accounts so that people can't even get refunds, much less pay out for a lawsuit.

The entire case would be heard and decided before any response from KTJO 4x4.

 

And then the next day you'd see the judge that dismissed the case driving around in his 3rd gen that has the drivers side handle and then it'd all make sense...

I heard that KTJO is accepting prepayment now for a differential additive that will resolve Tacoma rear end noise. Send in your money now and they will let you know in the future when the product may ship.

I agree with your sentiments, my goal was to assist with the install, not foregoing the the issues with the actual issues with the seller. I wanted the grab handle since my hip and knee were a determiting factor. I only wanted to help those who my have issues with the install.

I'll take any money you feel like sending my way. No timeline though, chances are we'll nuke the planet before I ever get it shipped out anyways. I'll just use it for a badass vacation before we are all turned to dust.

I guess I'm old school leaning towards any mod that requires mods to the vehicle, I have learned that sometimes you have to learn to adjust to the circumstances, anyway, I'm happy with the turnout I got what I wanted out of the fiasco. My only goal is to help those who may have issues with the hand they have been dealt. I am happy with how mine turned out. Plug and play most certainly not. However, if I can help, that is all I can offer to them. As KTJO would say, it's for the community. Now don't roast me please.
