Both of my low beams stopped working. My high beams still work and my dash indicators for both low beams and high beams still work. Since my high beam indicator works I believe my low beam filament is still good because I saw in another post that the high beam indicator is fed through the low beam filament.

Did they both fail at the same time? Have you pulled a bulb and looked at it?

I will pull a bulb after work and ring it out. But they did both go out at the same time.

Usually bulbs fail within a few days or a week of one another not at the same exact time. I don't yet have enough experience with my 2nd gen to know more. Hopefully someone else has some better experience.

No, the indicators do not go through any filaments. The headlight indicators come from the High and Low beam circuits, but tap off before the headlights themselves. See circuit below.

    In order of probability (IMO):

    Blown Bulbs (Both).
    Damaged wire. (Squirrels/Rats/Mice)
    Blown Fuses (Both).
    Or
    Dim Relay

Always go for the simple stuff first. Check the bulbs, then the fuses. Is anything other than the low beams not working?

You'd be surprised how easy it is to drive and not realize you have a headlight out for a while. It's possible the other then went out. Definitely check the filaments first.

I’m going with bulbs or wiring.
If the indicator works on the dash in BOTH Hi and Lo.

The fuses are powered by the dimmer relay.
And the indicators are powered by the fuses.

Thanks. Where do you find these schematics? The one that came across on a different thread did not show this.

I rang out both bulbs and it was burnt low beam filaments. I had installed both bulbs the same day only about 2 years ago and they both burnt out the same day.

They are from the Toyota Factory Service Manual.

That other image was Edited, adjusted, reconfigured for clarity to demonstrate something for someone else.

Glad it was something simple and not expensive!
