Tow mirrors look like they were added after the fact. Pretty sure if you get a Lariat loaded up like that, the mirror caps would have been color matched also or chrome at the very least. Those look like a post-purchase add-on.

Oddly enough, as soon as you get tow mirrors you can't get them color matched, even on a Lariat. I think you can get them with Chrome on non-sport trucks. When I was considering ordering again rather than buying off a lot I found that. If you build a '21 you'll see it too.

Interesting... I have all black tow mirrors on my truck, I'm in the process of ordering some white vinyl to see if I can wrap the caps. On Amazon, the vinyl is only $12 so I figure it's worth the risk. Might even spend $16 to get enough to attempt the rear chrome bumper also!

I accidentally bought rear Bilsteins for a Taco instead of my 4Runner. Then I got my FJ. Then I got my 93 Crawler and my Grandpa's 82 Pickup. Then I sold the FJ :pout:
That's true too. And T4R.org ousted me almost immediately after I traded in my 4Runner. Such friends they were :brianr: I LOVE this community! Everyone is friendly and welcoming (except for Noel), and it's just awesome. I made friends with crazy Arizonans. Flew out there 6 years ago almost to the day, and went on an awesome camping adventure with a bunch of randoms from a forum. Everyone couldn't have been nicer!
Meh, I'd rather see a band that won't put me to sleep :pccoffee:

OOooooOOooOOO is it the 'clap clap echo echo' one?!?!?! That one makes me want to paint the walls with pink mist!!!!

Welp, drove the '17 I first linked, it sure is nice, but they want all the money for that one. But I don't think I can get over not having 4wd auto. That's ideal when towing up north. And they told me they'd throw in the brake controller. No led headlights is a bummer but I can get past that I think. But $40k for a '17 that is not ideal... I need to sleep on it. And no auto headlights? That's odd to me in a truck that stickers near 60k. Like that panoramic roof though!

No auto headlights, like the auto dimming or the auto on/off? It should have the auto on off, that’s been on all my XLTs, including the ‘13.

Someone was back and forth at the dump today with an old power wagon with a big smoke stack that was towing a huge trailer. I've seen it all over the area lately and was excited to get a good look today (dump is my neighbor). A 60's power wagon with a modern diesel it looked like. Its body needs a lot of work, but its an awesome truck and hes been working the thing.

Looking at that, then these modern SD and I can't do it. I'd rather pay 80k for a beautiful resto-mod power wagon with style than 80k for auto head lights (non-led if your going ford:rofl:) and a bed I can't reach over even tho I'm 6'0".:anonymous:

Ford actually ended up lowering the new SD. I don’t know the full reason but i’d guess people were having issues hooking up to 5th wheels and gooseneck trailers, plus you can’t reach over the side. I have to stand on my tire to get anything over the side of the bed. I’m shy of 6’, the struggle is real.

I think auto on/off is even on the ones with crank windows.

Mine has auto high beams. I am not sure if it's a 502a thing or became more standard on the newer trucks.

I'd look for a 502a Lariat. Used there is probably next to no price difference and they get LED headlights, heated steering wheel, B&O sound system, pretty much everything the Platinum and King Ranch gets except the massaging seats.
