Have you been able to test this yet? I'm curious how it compares to the Taco headlamps.

Sorry to ask for clarity but us 2020 owners have a different bulb than say 2019. I missed that somewhere in the thread. I wanted to upgrade my driving lights but the only option is a new light assembly altogether. What do you recommend? I ask because you are the authority on this and I know nothing. I appreciate the work you have put in not to mention the time. You mention DD SS3, are they the best for the dollar or is there another that you would recommend?

^^ So first my apologies to @Linkscoach as I am not as up to date on 2020+ and up and per crash you have H16. I had assumed your truck had H11 and that you would have options for bulbs.

I do want to mention that there is extensive discussion in the fog light thread of your options for replacement LED fog lights and I'll refrain from further comment on that in hopes that we might meet up on that thread to continue the conversation :)

    I'm trying to find these
GE Megalight Ultra +130, but it seems like everyone is out of stock. Did they discontinue them? If so, what is the new version or what would be the 2nd choice to replace a 2009's H4s?

The 150 was reviewed by crash. It was marginally better if I recall? Perhaps not worth the extra cost.

Walmart had +120’s which are rated #1. Finding +130’s appears to be a challenge these days.

I believe there are two +150’s, a Philips and a Tungsram. I don’t believe either outperforms +120 or +130 but I might have missed a review.

Any of the above may be incorrect, it’s all off memory which in my case is DRAM rather than NVRAM :)

Just checked walmart. All they have is the +90s. And the 120s seems to be unobtainium anywhere as well.

Don't know what to buy now....

    Don't think I can do this as I have a 2009 with H4 bulbs.

The Philips +100 H4’s are a phenomenal bulb in your reflector housings. You’ll be amazed.

Ah shoot, you know there is a thread for 2nd gen right? You want a harness and some H4’s. Tons of choices and they outperform 3rd gen projectors too, just make sure you get a harness too.

Also, if you set up your profile with your truck it helps us give advice instead of suggesting H11 for 2nd gen :)

Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
Diode Dynamics SS3 fog lights are really nice. I upgraded about a month ago to the SS3 sports in yellow/amber, they actually call them amber to me looks more yellow. They were a good improvement over the stock 2020 fog lights that I had yellow Lamin-x films on. The light output is much improved. If you have the budget to spend more the pro version might be worth checking out.

Crash seems to know what is good.
I did get LED low beams and I like the Hikari ultras but in hind sight the H9 hack would probably made me happy.

Shoot, sorry about that. New here, still finding my way around :)

The problem is, even with the 2nd gen thread, is many/most/all of the recommended bulbs are no longer sold or available.

Can you explain this? I've googled many of these bulbs and they are no longer in production, nor can I find a place that has inventory.
