I have not run them myself, they were my backup selection if I didn’t like the AT3Ws within the buyback period. My concern was a lot of reviews mentioned that the sipes didn’t go deep into the block and once the tires were down about half tread the performance suffered dramatically.

I have Falken AT3Ws on my Taco and Toyo Open Country AT3s on my 4Runner. They’re both really good. I highly recommend an aggressive A/T like these over an M/T unless you’re like 90% off road. These A/Ts will still do fine off road, but they are much much better than any M/T on everything else... highways, rain, snow, ice, etc.

Hard top camper...many more to add+
There are reasons the most popular tires are popular...(PROVEN)...
In the eighty’s- ninety ...I was a magazine delivery guy..keep most of return issues of all off road magazine..and read them front to back...
I notice in those days majority go off-road vehicles picture ran BFG’s ...I have been running BFG’s since then ,on all my 4x4’s...
Today the same thoughts apply in making buying decisions...for the majority of my purchases...even chop sticks...I will consider what seems to be the most popular items people choose...

NO right or wrong ...the tires you choose will be a personal decision...and base on your use of them...Yes the cost many times will effect our choices too...less money..creates less choices’...

I went with Toyo R/T. In the past I've had Grabbers, Revo2, K02, and wanted to choose something different..

Life is too short to buy the same tires every time..

I loved my general grabber AT2s.
I had them on my AWD station wagon.

Yokohama brags on them being quieter than most mud terrains..... What's your experience driving home from the tire store?

They really are quiet. Theres definitely more noise than an a/t tire. But they have the right to brag, very minimal noise.

300 Miles on them so far, all freeway.

I've been digging all through the tire threads lately. I had Cooper STT Pros in 37" on my Jeep and they were incredible for me but I want to go a different route on the Taco. I've seen very few people with the Kenda Klevers, they look like they might be a good option but they aren't proven like the big 3 or 4 recommendations that always seem to pop up. I may have to play guinea pig.

I'm not a fan of the BFG because of their weight and they are only offered in an LT E rated. Wildpeaks are also quite heavy. Even the more Tacoma appropriate SL rating.

My top choices right now are the new Toyo, the Pirelli All Terrain Plus (top rated AT tire on Tire Rack).

But the tire I am searching for to purchase is the new Maxxis RAZR AT. The look shit-hot and the SL weighs less than 39 lbs.

Maxxis is one of the top NZ/Aus brands and Ronny Dahl is currently running these tires.

Local shop here in SE Oklahoma had them. Had to order my size, but they installed them this morning.
