Man, I haven't seen someone ask that since the 1990's. History really does repeat.

No room for trailer. What's wrong with doing it to a truck? It's invisible

Yes, I have, but on a 1953 F1 bed that I made into a trailer. if it just you using your truck and you understand the limitations then it is nice to not have to shovel dirt/gravel etc. The problem is your buddies are going to want to borrow it and they will over load it and if the truck doesn't sit pretty level all of that weight when the bed is all the way up twists and binds the mechanism and or your frame. If you lift it a little and start unloading the load, then lift it some more and so on it works great. The one thing that I like to do is drive the trailer on a few blocks to raise the read of the bed so that I can put a wheelbarrow under the back and just shovel/rake it right into the wheelbarrow in situations where you cant back the trailer into the work site.

None of those links show compatibility with a Tacoma, and probably for good reason.

It's a Tacoma, it's not like it has a huge payload capacity.

    I'm with @Wyoming09, get a trailer.

Or, just toss a tarp down before you throw junk in the bed. Yank tarp. Done.

The tarp method works. The ultimate back saver for less than 30 bucks. Can't beat that.

It never ceases to amaze me what they manage to hide in those stores. I'm there all the time and always find new things
