When I saw this Tacoma for sale by owner on Craigslist, I jumped. From the driver seat, it's like a new truck. The paint is a little beat up, but it still decent for 20 years old.

Unfortunately, the body is the least worry on a Tacoma, the frame is the first place I look. Was at a customers a while ago, they had an older Tacoma, body decent, would have made a nice trash hauler until I looked a what was left of the frame. I'd bet a good 25% of it was just............gone.

It's showing minimal surface rust in places, pretty good overall.

    Nice find.

It’s not super accurate depends what dealer reports I guess.
    Didn’t see your location.
    Our shit rusts here.

I ended up paying $8800. It needed an alignment, which I already got done, but it needs a few minor issues addressed, but I still think it was a great deal.

Good deal, picked up a sr5 Xtra cab with 270k for about 6. 6k chasis has surface rust so I'll just sand it and paint it again

The fluids look OK for the time being. I'm getting everything replaced in Spring though. I did sign up for the Toyota Owner's thing, and it only had the first service that was ever done to it at 5k miles back in 2000.
I'm in South Central Alaska, which prefers gravel over, so although there is a ton of snow in winter, the rust isn't as bad as other places in the use. We do have "Alaskan windshields" though from the rocks flying around and hitting them.
