Hi. I’m looking for some ideas on where to mount the scan gauge and run the cord without drilling. Please post your pictures and ideas. Thanks.

Mine is on a BlendMount above the rear view mirror. The cord is run across the headliner and down the A-Pillar.

+1 for above the rear view mirror like @MikeyMcFly
It is out of the way but a quick glance away when you need it. There is exactly enough cable if you run it correctly. I use mine for 4 temps - front diff, trans, oil, coolant.
If you play with the color settings you can get a blue tone that is almost exactly like the Toyota gauges so it looks more stock.
Then I put a USb port with a volt meter display in the empty space where manuals have the clutch start cancel button.

Left side of dash, secured with velcro, cable run under rubber gasket.

Gauges are: both trans temps, coolant temp and current gear.

I have a mirror riser, so above the rear view doesn't work. I clipped mine to the headliner just to the left of the mirror. Bent two thin pieces of aluminum bar to make hooks and attached them with double sided tape. Really clean and out of the way. Cord tucks up into the headliner and then runs down the pillar between the plastic trim and glass. I do need to add a small bit of double sided tape to hold it perfectly flush but overall it works really well.

These are the only pictures I could find, but should give you the idea.

Our trucks have all that info? Maybe I do need to suck it up and get my firmware flashed by ScanGauge. That front diff temp would be neat. Oil temp, too since I don’t like going into the higher revs if I don’t have to when the truck is cold.

When I bought my ScanGauge back in 2013 I just wanted it for the AT temp on my old truck.

My color settings are (1) red, (2) blue, and (1) green.

And yes, I do get all those temps. Like you said, if on old firmware you may need an update.

I've heard of other people getting 'too hot' warnings on the front diff so I wanted to track that.

Thanks again for mentioning the parameters you monitor. I actually just got my ScanGauge back after realizing the upgrade fee was only $25.00 plus shipping to Linear Logic. Sadly the gear indication does not work for the 6MT, as cool as it would be. I'm monitoring front diff, oil, coolant and voltage now. The more data I can see on the truck, the better as far as I'm concerned.
