The only reason I’d be selling is because I wouldn’t want to manage a front range property from somewhere out by you. If I was staying close by I absolutely would rent it

Would you not hire a property manager? They take a cut for sure but they also deal with all the BS so you don't have to.

If I win the lottery and can move to the west slope and keep my house I'll be paying someone to rent it out

I want another velvet hippo :(

It will have to be after my current pups pass, two dogs is plenty and they are pretty averse to other dogs.

Temps on these powerstrokes seem to always be low. I don’t have anything other than the dummy gauge for my water temp, but it never gets above the N in “Normal” (R bring top dead center), and the only time my trans ever hits 175 degrees is pulling up Eisenhower with the Tacoma on the trailer

They do run pretty cool. Even with 15k hooked up my trans temps on the 6.7l stayed below 210. The oil temp will hit 250 if I don't slow down

Based on how I personally treated houses when I rented from property managers? No. Their half ass attempt at reading any maintenance requests meant I would quarter ass my repairs. The house I’m renting now is owned by a nice couple that’s always willing to help, so when it comes to normal maintenance and repairs I’ll spend the money on parts to fix small things that need repairs. But when it comes to broken toilets, sinks, etc. in a house that a property manager always tried to fuck me over in, I would fix literally any problem with duct tape or electrical tape. The sad part is I know I treated those houses better than most people, and have the actual maintenance/repair knowledge that most people these days don’t. Yet I still treated it like shit because I wasn’t going to spend a dime fixing shit in a house where the manager didn’t give two fucks. So I expect the same, if not worse from any other person renting my house through a property management firm

Yeah I really need to get a water temp gauge. Since I don’t have OBDII I can’t run one of those fancy digital thingies, so I’m stuck with real gauges. I currently have boost, trans temp, and EGT. I think with water temp I’ll be pretty much set

Also, @Wulf i finally ordered a new fuel bowl because pulling the shitty, leaking after market one will make replacing the IPR easier while it’s out. At this point I’m basically just knocking on wood that I have good compression and don’t have excessive blow by. If those tests come back shitty, the new ICP, IPR, EBP sensor/tubes, and fuel bowl I’ve got on this thing will all get transferred to a rebuilt 7.3

Given how it sounds and runs warmed up I didn't think compression was an issue, especially since it pulls well :notsure:

I'm just another smooth brain on the internet though :homer:

Well now I’m running out of room haha. Need to see if I can add 2-3 across the top of the dash in the middle of the cab. One more and I could do the steering column mount, but 2+ will required some creativity

Agree, oil temp is more valuable than coolant temp

That was my thought, but I too have a smooth brain and am paranoid that I’m dumping $$$$ into a worthless motor

Think pan temp is good enough? Easy to add a sensor to the pan

If he sells it for $2k I’ll take it. I’m about to be dirt poor here in a couple months once I find a house. That is if I can convince my land lord to extend my lease a month or two so I have time

Fortunately there is room to drill through the inner fender for EGT on the manifold near the rear cylinder on either driver or pass side!

Don't drill all the way into the manifold unless you like exhaust leaks :homer:

Hahahahaha that might be a hard sell. We're shooting clays this weekend so I'll find out what's up with it.

It was running and driving then he blew the turbo oil feed on I-25 and after replacing it he hasn't been able to start it.
