265/70/17 tires rubbing so bad I can’t drive it HELP PLEASE!

Wheel spacers aren’t the only or best option. So much misinformation on wheels spacers...I run that exact tire size and the easiest way to clear it is to add 1.5” of lift and aftermarket UCAs set at 3 degrees caster so the tire’s widest part of the diameter while driving move from contact points of the vehicle. I still have 1” or so of space on each side of the tire from contacting at full turn. Stock UCAs won’t help as much but a little lift will. Plus spacers are lame, ditch those as others have said

Ok no rubbing till I put the spacers on, I had put 6K miles no problems. I want my truck to look like this so I ordered fenders and spacers, then added the spacers to move the tires out to look better. Would adding a lift kit help or screw it up more? I can’t send the spacers back after installing them but I can sent the fenders back. If I keep them I am torn between black or blue? Decisions decisions big boys and their toys. Will a 3” front and 2” rear lift kit fix this. Again thanks for all the advice guys I am totally clueless I had jeeps for 13 years knew all about the layoffs requiring tires etc. basically I was a master at it now this taco as me trying to figure out which way is up and which way is down. I was looking at is lift on Amazon it comes with front upper control arms, shocks.

I would take the spacers off, add some Bilstein 5100s, set on the 4th notch and add a 1 inch rear block, get a good alignment. Skip on the fender flares as they wood be over powering looking, skip the wheel spacers and a spacer lift as they will cause more issues down the road. I run the 5100s and 265/70/17s on the 4runner wheels like you and zero issues.

 

A lift is not going to solve your rubbing issues with that kind of offset due to the spacers. Take it to a shop and pay for an hour of labor to trim the plastic if you don't want to do it yourself but this is an easy fix.

265/70R17 is also going to look hilarious with a 3 inch lift. Keep it milder, 1.5-2in.

ive got 4runner trail wheels with 265/70/17's on my 2020 with a 2/1 spacer lift. i had 1.25 spidertrax on it until last night when i removed them as they were causing rubbing on the front mud flaps. i could have just as easily removed the front mudflaps and been fine.

 

Thanks for all of the ideas and suggestions. I removed the spacers and sending the fenders back and just leave well enough alone. This is my truck before I started screwing with it and this is what I went back too. My grandfather has said many times over the years “son sometimes you should be happy with what you have.”

 

Truck looks good and better yet now drives good without rubbing! Call it a win bud...

It's more about what you like, but I prefer black. My truck has factory color matched fenders. I tried to get the dealer to put SR unpainted flares on when I bought it and they wouldn't lol

 

You gotta decide what you like. But, since you're asking, I like the factory black.

 

I like factory black as well, I think it looks more rugged that way. I hate my paint matched flares! But your truck, your taste!

What mud flaps are you running? They don't look stock.

 

They came from Amazon and this is the listing, I also got the remote start and the Anytime back up camera which allows you to flip a switch and see the front or rear at any given time and actually leave it on while you’re driving or parked or backing up. It’s a little weird having it in the front position when you’re running 70 miles an hour down the highway

Maybe this will help. I've got a 2020 SR with Bilstein 5100's on the front, 4th setting which raises the front 1.5". I'm running 265/75/16 Patagonia MT's that have a measurement of 31.89 inches. I'm also running 1.25" wheel spacers. My wheels are from an FJ Cruiser and have a +15 offset. They have NEVER rubbed since day 1 when they were brand new. Full turn, under load, off roading, nothing.

The measurement that I found for the Wildpeak A/T3W in a 265/70/17 is also 31.89 inches.

Based on this, I would bet your best solution will be a 2/1 level kit or adjustable shocks if you are going to keep the spacers and the wheels you have now. Having a -15 offset and 1.25" spacers really pushes the wheel out a lot.
