Keep in mind that safety connect will go offline on Nov. 1st 2022. Cellular providers are shutting down their 3G networks which is what runs that service.

The same can't be said for remote connect, as there has been no announcement on shutting it down.

I use the remote start. Depending on your circumstances, it is a nice feature. Given my unheated detached garage is a distance from my house and I leave by 5:30 every morning, and am usually running late, it is helpful to have the truck ready to go when I do get out the door.

Now the GPS location would be very nice for me as I many times forget where I park. I use the panic to locate then act like it was accidently pushed.

Yeah. Age has not been kind to me. When I park in those huge lots and get out in a hurry with a lot on my mind, I sometimes forget where I have parked when I plan to leave.

If you have an Iphone with the current IOS update the phone will mark where you parked your car each time.

i tell them it’s too expensive and get the renewal for $125 a year. Which for me is great.

With Xm radio i usually tell them I want something from under $100 for the year and usually get close to that. I am ok with a lesser package than all access. I mostly just listen to music so the select or mostly music deals work for me. Some day I'm sure they will not do deals like that but then I'll just play my vast mp3 collection I've had since Napster.

I don't think I care if safety connect is ending. Never was going to use it in the first place.

I just renewed my remote connect. Don’t need the others. There has been countless times laying in bed wondering if I locked my truck. Having the app helps. Also in the summer and winter. Being able to cool or heat the interior truck up from my work station (too far for the fob) is perfect for me

Remote start, should be a given.
Google, Siri, Alexis, they do nothing for me.
    Remote Connect?

The features are stuffed in, like dressing to a turkey at Thanksgiving, and I hate stuffing.

As for XMS radio, no on that as well.

With 6+ months of winter in MN, and numerous weeks with highs near 0 (often lower), they could charge me a helluva lot more than $6.70/month for the remote start. The key fob range generally isn't long enough to reach my truck - this is a necessity for me.

Sirius XM is probably the easiest company to negotiate with ever. Every time my subscription is nearing its end, I call and say I want to cancel my subscription since it costs too much. They will always keep you on for a fraction of what they're trying to have you renew at. During certain promotions, I've had it for as low as $3.00 per month.

Open up maps, should list "parked car" as the first option under "search for place or address".

    Thank you very much.

First time ever opening the Map app. I found it also shows a picture of the building.

I learn something new every day.

    thanks again.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, wait. Being able to remote start is something that expires? Or just being able to remote start from the app? Like, will my key still be able to remote start in a years time without a subscription ($80?). That is absolutely insane.

To be clear, My truck is still being shipped. But I was under the impression you could remote start by pressing the lock button twice then holding it for 10 seconds? Does that function disappear if you dont pay the subscription? Or is that not actually a thing on new tacomas? Thanks for the help buddy, I am still new to all this
