I’d highly recommend just getting a lower that takes glock mags

I have a 4.75” barrel, I wanted to make sure I was subsonic with pretty much any ammo plus 4.75” with a 6.6” suppressor is a handy little package.

Also, I agree with the guys saying to get a dedicated lower, I use a mag block to convert to the colt pattern mags and it’s the biggest reason why I rarely shoot this setup (the rest of the year it’s a 11.5” 556 that’s setup for home defense)

Colt mags better on many levels. Expense, capacity, ease of loading.

If you carry a Glock handgun (34 for example) then having an AR 9mm pistol/rifle that uses the same magazines is much more practical from an interchangeability standpoint.

In my case I have a JP Enterprise 9mm SBR and carry a Glock 34. Same mag works in both guns so my load out is much simpler.

Those aren’t things I would factor in to them being “better”

As someone who has both styles

I prefer the colt mag one for the range but the Glock mag one for a packed away bugout gun

    Same crap everyone else got
I would suggest to save time, go ahead an purchase your barrel from Rudy and Macon armory. It's the go to guy for 9mm barrels and guarantees they will feed any ammo you put through them including any HP ammo.
I already had a BA 9mm barrel and it wouldn't feed HP's so I sent it to him from the recommendations on the pistol caliber section on AR15.com and it now eats everything. He sells barrels also, so it would have saved me money just to buy it from him to start.
You can see in my pic how the flatter nosed HPs would not feed up the ramp as well and would get stuck. Rudy reworks the feed cone to better guide all types of ammo into the chamber.

    How it looks now

I have an 8" Spinta barrel and 9mm bcg and a mag well adapter in a Andersons lower. Mine uses Colt mags. Runs flawlessly.

Someone hasn't seen the 2012 remake of Total Recall. Not that I recommend the movie but the Kriss in .45 is the LE firearm in that movie.

I recommend posting pics of your gun collection on line for all the world to see... and screenshot.

What could possibly go wrong? o_O

Just kidding, I didn't screenshot anything.
