I check Craigslist daily for couple different things, you never know when a good deal will pop up. But some times I see shit that just makes me want to message the seller and tell them how unreasonable the price they are asking is

For example, $1200 stock TRD sport wheels and tires. I bet people are just knocking down this guys door trying to buy them :jerkoff:

    OK, my rant is over

    yes cl has some dreamers.
I love the ones that say its MINT!
But when you look at the pictures, the seat is torn, its been kept outside under the eaves of a barn etc.
My lastest try to buy on there was a snowmobile which after talking to the owner several times, looking at pictures, and asking questions decided to buy it. It was a good deal (summertime).
When my friend and I went to pick it up (it was 2 hrs away) the hood had a 12" scratch across the top
It had run into a barbed wire fence.
Umm, we had asked about damage etc.
Wouldn't you think the owner would disclose that or at least say,
"oh btw, there is a scratch across the hood"
It really was a bummer & the dude was oblivious.
    Yeah its MINT

I like to inform them of their stupidity. It helps me sleep at night knowing that I did my part to make the world a better place.

I wad looking to pick up a love seat and same thing, asked all the questions I could before committing to the 45 minute drive. When I got there it had had huge patch of fabric on it after his dog chewed it, supposedly "pet free" means something completely different to him

    I hate the extreme lowballers.

I sold my old ryobi table saw on craiglist about a year ago when I bought my new Hitachi saw. I listed it for $40 which is a pretty good deal considering it was $200 brand new. I had some guy call me and tell me $40 was too much and he could only give me $20. I laughed at him and told him that if he doesn't want to pay that then the phone conversation is over. Stupid cheap ass people.

My favorite are the people who expect you to deliver large items to them?!?! WTF YOU ARE BUYING IT, YOU COME PICK IT UP OR MEET ME SOMEWHERE!

Or the ones that ask where I'm located...um it says it in the ad, Look it up on the internet..you obviously have the internet since you are on craigslist.

I have also gotten the super excited people. I sold a Honda Civic engine a few months ago and some guy calls me really excited and said he was on his way from alabama and he will pay full price for it (I was asking $50 more than I wanted for it) lol. 2 hours later he showed up with cash and bought it. Thats the kinda transaction i like.

    to summarize my CL frustrations...
IF YOU DON'T HAVE CASH AND DON'T ALREADY HAVE TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS DONT BOTHER CALLING!

I just donate stuff now instead of listing it on Craigslist. I got tired of the morons of the world calling me and asking stupid questions. I moved a few years ago and had stacks of nearly new moving boxes and offered to give them to anyone that wanted them. Some dumb bitch called and got mad that I wouldn't drive then 20 miles to her house so she could have them. I then sold my '99 Ranger and got dozens of calls from dumbasses offering half what I was asking, "I have cash tonight!". And endless stupid questions. Ugh.

I love CL. The overzealous idiots do get annoying, but the nice thing is you can just ignore their ad. I also feel like sometimes they're offset by people who are really offering good items at fair (or sometimes better prices). For instance, just last night I bought a 46 inch, 1080p Samsung LCD TV for $500. The guy had taken it as repayment for money his buddy owed him. All he wanted was what he was owed, and the TV retailed for almost $2K when new (in 2008). Perfect condition, and works great. I couldn't be happier.

I don't mind lowballers (some interest is better than no interest), but I HATE it with a passion when you tell me you want to see/buy something, set a time and date, get my address, and then don't show and all of a sudden don't respond to emails. If you don't want it, fine, but tell me. I set aside time in my busy schedule to sell you this, and then you flake out? Go to hell.
