Part of my day job is being an owner's representative for commercial building projects. There is a guy with a concrete crusher that turns old foundation concrete into gravel. He makes BANK with that machine. On one project the new building needed to go in the footprint of the old one. Because of the topology of the site the contractor was going to have to bring in a lot of fill. So they brought the crusher machine in, and even though it was expensive it was far cheaper than hauling out the old concrete and bringing in gravel. The owner loved it too. They were all over Instagram with how green they were being by not filling up the land fill with concrete. Truth is they were green environmentally and fiscally.

Maybe I can start a GoFundMe account and ask for gravel, not money! Or an OnlyFans account....
(Didn’t know that existed until I saw it on the news! Most times the wife doesn’t want to see it, so maybe I should do both.)

Good call on doing the epoxy floor before moving in. Just did the same in my garage, but it was a huge PIA moving all the crap out of there...

    A thing or two...
I cleaned up all the leaves from the backyard. Only 12 42 gallon bags. :frusty: I also noticed a hole (about 2"x4") in the eave the other day. Temp fixed it by tacking a couple pieces of 5mm plywood over the hole until I can fix it properly. Finally, I went up in the attic to look for evidence of any critters having come in. I didn't see anything and almost fell through the ceiling into the carport. Luckily, the ceiling is plywood panels, so I just nailed it back up with my new Ryobi cordless 18ga brad nailer. I also used it to put up the patch.

I will quote myself since I finally used it tonight.

I am installing new wallpaper in my home office and got to the point of installing a shelf.

I used it to find the studs where the mounting brackets needed to go. It worked flawlessly. stud locations were dead on.

The visual indicator made a perfect center for the studs behind the drywall.

Glass door and panel going in the master bathroom remodel. Still have to do some painting (once my wife figures out what color she wants :frusty:) and then I can install the mirrors and change to some nicer light bulbs and put in the globes and voila!!

Removed some trees this weekend. They were dying/ dead, not replacing thing since i want a nice clear back yard for a potential pool down the road. Now i need to get rid of the debris. Also planted a lemon and lime tree. Also will be removing that tree there.

Moved my cat6 box up behind the tv and added a mesh to pass wires through I need down the road. Also i really didnt want to patch a hole.
Used my Bosch oscillating tool, man these things are great for cutting in sheetrock. i will be adding another outlet behind the tv so you wont see this current power wire.

Finally got the master bathroom done, painted the walls and the bead board, hung the mirrors and finished the light fixtures.

Well it's done, the brother in-law's guest bathroom. Turned out pretty good, but I really had no doubt that it would.

My BIL is a great guy. However, on the DIY scale where 10 = can do anything, 5 = can assemble Ikea furniture, 0 = pays someone else to do everything, he's a solid 3. I told him I'd do everything, but when I got there the toilet was already removed. Not really problem, but he hadn't put anything down the drain to block the sewer gas and the room stunk to high hell. :puke:

The picture doesn't show it, but the wood floor is all swollen and buckled.

    18327A24-C93F-496D-A63D-E792E2619910_1_105_c.jpg

Laid out the cut line for the new tile.
    0F74830F-3D24-48FB-BC47-40485CA13FFC_1_105_c.jpg
Then through the magic of hard work and not taking pictures, here's the rough tile layout.
    34F8963D-EFAF-4823-A0E9-BAB6166A189E_1_105_c.jpg

Then 50% done installing the tile
    D34701F5-E85C-4C32-B156-8757485C2F1C_1_105_c.jpg

Then Bam! Tile, grout, new paint, new toilet new baseboards and it's finished

Oops, I forgot to caulk the pedestal sink base. I'd never worked with one before and what a pain in the ass. I have normal size arms, but getting the connections broken and then remade did involve some colorful language.

What is the sheet metal fire block between floors called? There is a plate around the HVAC ducts in the walls.

I want to run some blue flex conduit past it from the attic to the basement. What is the best way to do this? Drill out the sheet metal? I reciently found out that the fire foam is not actually to code which is exactly what I did to seal the cracks. Fortunately I didn't seal up the wall yet.
