Yup, planted is a perfect description. The minute I pulled out of my driveway after installing them i noticed it. Got rid of my old OME and put deavers in at the same time, so the planted feel was coupled with no squeak.

Wondering if anyone knows how thick the DIY crossmember plates are, that BAMF sells.

About to order some tubing for my crossmember & am calculating distances. I’d guess 1/4” thick, but wanted to be certain. Thanks.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Tubing is sold in 20' sections, what does the thickness of the plates factor into this? But yeah, the plates are roughly 1/4", I can check mine once I get home later.

I’ve got a local metal supply shop that can cut exact lengths. Figured I’d go that route and save some work.

Quick question (and for anyone who's done this) did you have to cut the ends on an angle? The hangers are angled in a few degrees.

Same. I just did straight cuts on the tubing. Did another test fit with the crossmember plates and she wedged nice and snug between the two. Just need some time to get em welded.

23.875" straight cut you should be golden. if you are Tig welding Id do 24" and sand to fit there is a ever so slight taper but not enough to worry about if Mig welding it.
