Customer just brought these calipers in, wants .050” milled off the mounting face. He’s putting them on a Mustang

 

Wierd!! Wonder what the benefits are by using these

 

Four piston? Or just two?

 

I don't know, these are pretty large though with 4 pistons. I didn't ask him what year stang, I'll try and find out when he picks them up what the advantage is.

 

Four. They are twice as long as my hand with my fingers stretched out.

He changed the mounting bosses on one of them to one with an offset hole. Wonder why one side would mount in a different place than the other?

 

It's a Brembo caliper. Top name for brake components. Customer will have better stopping power for sure. Most calipers are single piston.

 

Now that's just unusual.

Found a piece of 8” wide tubing in the scrap. Milled it flat and bolted it to it. It’ll be here Monday when I return

 

Im gonna guess someone snapped a bolt and retapped?

 

Don't think so, these are new calipers with different bosses. One is offset, the M12 one is gold, the M14 is silver. He said he was in the process of fitting everything up on the car

 

Cleaned my pistol off just now and made a new poll

What you carry

 

Tacoma side project (since I don’t have enough projects going on!)
Going to cut and tape my full scale template together since I don’t have a fancy plotter.
Once the truck is done, I’ll make a matching one for the topper.

 

Hellcat 9mm. Have an XDs .45, a Shield .40 as well. Since buying the hellcat almost a year ago it’s all I’ve carried.
