Been working on this all during the week slowly but surely since I work during the day I have very little light to work with but hopefully by the end of the weekend everything will be wrapped and on to the Long Travel suspension we go

Put in a Mountain Hatch tailgate insert. These guys make a really good product. I bought rather than fabricate my own because I believe in supporting small businesses who make great innovative products. (And the last thing I attempted to fabricate is still stuck in the ceiling )BF13753D-647C-4E67-B386-A598098449FB.jpg

    Minor stuff.
Installed my S2 pro pods today. My original plan did not happen as the installation did not come out right so I went to plan b. Going to adjust them later while my son is at hockey.

To give you a idea on how bright they are before I get you some pictures. The package says 8.4 watts, so each led chip being 4.2 watts, its much dimmer than the cree 3w chips I used to make a fish tank light. But, since the design of the cases seems really simple, I see replacing the led chips (and driver) with a better chip being pretty easy. Im going to screw around with some of the 3w chips I have laying around to see how they look with the optics these lights have. If I can make something with a better output that would be great. Hell, I could even swap out the stock chip with a 3w rgbw chips and make a disco.

Their warranty claims are no hassle for sure. I've had a few minor issues and they promptly handled it.

I’m sorry to hear of the bad fortune re: multiple claims.

If the tree guy is also a GC he can assess stuff like that but not always or even typically.

The carriers basically always want you to protect your property and that usually means getting the tree off the house ASAP, taking photos and temporarily covering it up.

If you have a contractor that you trust have him at the appointment with the adjuster. If you don’t then don’t bother bc one who doesn’t have the best intentions will just cause headaches for you (and the carrier although that is not your concern).

What state do you live in

4bt would be a great motor for the tacoma :) though I think the r2.8 is still the tacomas best option
