What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Just got home from picking it up, added the tonneau cover right away. Then sat and looked at it for a while. First new car in 15 years. The Ram in the background is a lease,it goes back soon.

 

I love that they have a “drop in anything kit”. But I’m partial to the old mechanical 3.9.

Installed the Redline Hood Struts. Some of the rivets are loose. Probably going to replace with screws. The hood struts are awesome though.

 

Got one of my molle panels on before the sun went down! I’ve gotta make a trip to the hardware store before I can do the other side.

Instant lift kit, lol. I go back and forth. It's easier to get the skid plate off when changing oil without the spoiler in the way.

 

Swapped out my 2017 headlights for 2020 leds.

 

That is a striking color combo for sure. Batman lives!

are those OEM 2020 pro headlights?

were they plug and play or did you have to splice a couple wires?

 

They are the OEM Pro LEDs from Toyota. I just had to buy an adapter that goes from the 4 plugs to 1 plug on the headlight.

 

I was on a role today. Also saw this $1,500 Cobalt with a 2000 dollar wrap

 

I'm in Oregon and do almost all my own work. Will be meeting with adjuster tomorrow.

 

Fastenal has this style anchor rated at 800 lbs for like $1.73 each. I put two in the fore bedbolts.

 

A little late, but I installed Headstrong's 3 leaf progressive AAL this weekend. I has given me back the rake I lost when I installed the TRD Pro Fox suspension, and I will no longer have the Bro lean when loaded with all my gear and bikes when going camping. I thought it would feel a little stiffer than it does, and I'm not sure if it will sag much later on, I guess I'll know over time.

 

How much lift did you get? Trying to decide on this or full leaf pack?

 

I got just under 1.5", however, from what I understand, it will sag a bit over time and settle in at about 1.25". Headstrong also has a model that includes a shim that gives you a 2" lift, which I would imagine will also sag a bit over time to probably 1.75". I really only wanted about an inch of lift, but didn't want to just put in a spacer block. Hopefully the extra leafs will work well with the extra weight I have while loaded, and still maintain a good ride empty. The nice thing about the HS AAL is that you don't need to cut anything, and can restore your OEM setup if you chose as opposed to the similar ICON AAL setup.
