Oh yeah. The slider is my favorite window, TBH. Let's in the perfect amount of air, even with the Softopper.

There are options for the ACC systems, but even there, I don't think it does what I'm looking for.

I think this is the one that you're talking about and not what I am wishing for:

Because $$. I don't download illegal copies of software because I can't load them on my computer (work related). Is the software free now?

Definitely not the one we're looking for.

    Well damn,
maybe you should maybe have test drove the damn thing and then you would have known not to buy that POS with the poor vents.

As far as cycling the compressor, that has been a normal thing for the past 25 years on pretty much every vehicle, really since the 90's.
And lastly, if you don't like being nannied, move to the woods in a 1976 Chevy Truck, give up all internet connectivity, only pay and get paid in cash and forget the outside world. Oh, grow your own garden and raise your own beef too because... those pesky nannies put pesticides on the vegetables at the store and those same nannies scanned the beef with IR to kill bacteria. You should be able to get whatever bacteria and illness from your meat dammit! You shouldn't have someone do something "for your own sake."

    Geez...:der:

    Yup. Oh well.

I wouldn't put this hacked version of TS on your work computer. I would bet that you would never be able to get it installed because the key gen program throws all kinds of virus warnings and such.

I was told somewhere around 45 degrees. Basically cold enough that the refrigerant isn't high enough pressure and triggers the safety shutoff for the compressor. Basically the same reason your compressor doesn't work when you're low on refrigerant.

I said "top trim of Lariat" since there's levels within that. I believe the 502A package was needed. What I said does sound confusing now that I think about it.

My point was that it was standard on that in 2002, but hasn't made it to most vehicles in 2021. Kind of like how 4x4 auto isn't a thing on most vehicles and neither is dual climate, but both have been around for 20 years or longer.

It's probably different for every vehicle, but I found this out after spending money on getting my AC system fixed one summer and then noticing the compressor wouldn't come on while I was looking under the hood in the winter. That was the explanation I was given. Sure enough, it worked again when the temps warmed up.

I just think it would be a nice option, particularly where I live. I was thinking about it while driving home in freezing drizzle the other day while my wipers kept getting caked up with ice and not working well. Granted, I don't think this would have changed that, per se, but may have mitigated it a little

I have seen auto 4wd failures. No thanks.

Dual zone is a gimmick to me. In our cars that had it, we'd either set both to the same or used the sync button.

In the end, I'm happy with as basic as my non-Tech / non-Prem Taco is. There's enough gizmo creep already.

I'm not saying I need 4x4 auto, but it is a nice option. GM has done it for a long time. Ford has it as well. Not sure about RAM.

Definitely have to disagree on dual climate. Often times, in my old truck, she was too cold while I was nearly sweating and miserable. Dual climate helps that a lot. Another feature that was on my Caravan and in many other vehicles. Ford moved it down to XLT for the 2021 trucks.

Yep. And I have seen it fail taking the t case with it. Full nope.

It's cool if it works for you. Not hear and thankful to not have it in the Taco.

On a trip a few years back it was -9F and they didn't help with ice build on the back of the wipers. The wipers did keep working fairly well though.

I don't doubt that (especially from GM).

To each their own. Very glad mine has it. But, then again, that was one of my requirements.

Yeah, not much will help at -9F lol. But, usually you don't have to worry about ice buildup at that point.

The best part about dual zone is the digital thermostat. I hate getting rental cars that just have the red to blue dial - I'm constantly adjusting it because I'm too hot or too cold.

Yeah there was freezing fog too, which didn't help. It was an 18hr drive that should have been 8 due to weather and road closures.
