Ken, where's the snow?

 

I need one of those days. I keep trying to have one, only to be interrupted by a crisis at work or those unbelievable people at the-CarMax-which-shall-not-be-named sending me yet another overnight FedEx with a form I have to sign as the power of attorney for either my mom or my dad for a car which they bought from us sometime last year during the miasma surrounding my dad's death and PAID US FOR but still don't seem to have figured out how to stop bugging me about.

Sigh. Does anyone know where the closest FedEx drop box is, that picks up the earliest??? I *****so***** want this over.

 

Hopefully no more snow for me the rest of the winter Cheech. Heading south to Florida like the rest of the flock. I have gotten used to the warm weather over the past 4 winters away. Flip flops and shorts for me.

 

Have fun down South, Ken! Texas CAN be like that, but she always has some surprises up her sleeve!

Good Evening Porchies! Slept in and got first in line on my labs today, then pretty much went right to work. Beautiful day! Got to open all the doors in the garage for sunshine and warmth (well, 60's), and the dog only ran off once. Got a lot done. More to go, but now, I have the vision in place!



Should I open the doors? OH HELL, twist my arms, will ya?





Long way to go, but lots of places to get things cleaned, sorted, and organized.

 

Good morning, everyone. Not much going on here, today. Probably finish up painting the nail pops I repaired last week. I started reading new new biography on General U.S. Grant yesterday so I'll spend some time working on that, as well. I've also started hitting the treadmill every day - miss getting outside.

Another friend lost her husband to Covid-related issues early this morning. Went from celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary on Christmas (she lost her first husband to cancer) to this in two weeks. She also had it - both were in the hospital, she came home and he didn't.

Stay safe out there.

 

So sorry to hear. Not going away anytime soon. This curse will be here for a long time. Please be safe, folks.

Sorry to hear about your friend losing her husband Mark.
I just bumped into a lady I know and asked where the old guy was (her husband), she looked at me and pointed upward, then told me that he had passed away, I asked if it was covid and she said no. He wasn't one of my good friends but someone I had known for a long time, always enjoyed shooting the bull about fishing or hunting with him.

 

Sorry for your friends loss Mark. He will be in my prayers today.

Not much for today, a 2 hour zoom guitar lesson and getting my wifes new iPad on line with a new Apple ID.

Guitar practice was difficult this week. Playing a guitar is a lot harder than you might think.

In the IOS world everything revolves around your Apple ID. Generally you do not want to share your Apple ID with a device of another family member.

 

Picked up my tacoma, Beowulf the Black, in sept 20. I will b 62 nxt month and was a nissan man. Bambi totaed out my 15 frontier. Nice settlement. Thought that was gon b my last truck. Said fuk it and spent the money on a taco, always wanted one , never liked the price. Use
the taco to pull my 1756 cc tin boat.bass fish around ga. Enjoy this forum.
