I’m wondering if the TWAT is two way? I get the impression that most folks start at the WI/IL boarder and travel north, but I’d like to start up north and end at the WI/IL boarder.

I was looking it that too, thinking it looked like a good deal. I don’t know where the bidding ended though.

My grandpa used to restore WW2 and Korean war vehicles. We have slowly been selling them off but we still have three jeeps and a weapon carrier and a command car left. They are an absolute pain in the ass if you literally don't run them ever week they will not run. They need to be driven constantly which we don't do because it would be a full day a week just messing with them. We recently sold a deuce and a half to Europe to go in a Museum in Austria.

Here is a command car we have from WW2. Just finished the restoration a couple years back it’s not 100 percent perfect buts nice. 5354AAA8-0B18-4360-B301-FD991E82D0F6.jpg

That was my fear about ever buying something like that, they look awesome but the tech in something that old, even if refurbished, still isn't even close to the reliability we now have.
Now if a guy could update one of those with current running gear, that would be very cool.

I need a restomod deuce and a half!

Yeah its ridiculous to be honest. Even with 91 octane they still dont run all the time. Plus all of them draw on the batteries so they always go dead. I literally spend 1k a year on bs batteries. Half of them are 6v systems so you cant even tender the batteries over winter lol.
