So I’ve looked at plastidip videos and pictures all over this site and others and decided to finally give it a go. Spent about 30 minutes just taping off the area really good and put about 6 coats on it. I didn’t want to bother with removing the bumper pieces (though the job itself would have been easier if I had). However, I’m super happy with the way they turned out. They look great and my friends have all said it looks like the factory made it that way!

    :worthless:

I’m planning the same in the future, along with the badges and I think a few coats of smoke on my ditch lights just so they’re no so shiny (only a few coats so the function is not degraded too much.

Looks like it turned out good! Great job. I had been tempted to use bedliner spray paint but think I’ll stick to plasti dip.

Thanks! I agree. I'm going to go ahead and black it all out. I have some black badge covers I'm going to try out next. Waiting on them to get here from China o_O

Are they cheaper than a $6 can of plastidip?

I think I’m gonna try out the Black Sapphire Plastic dip and gloss on the badges. I toyed with using a black color change with green but that might be a little much lol.

This is spray on bedliner. Been on for well over a year now and starting it second winter. Looks perfect still. The texture matches the plastic middle part of the bumper almost perfect.

What brand of bed liner did you use? Looks like another rainy weekend for me here in NC, might kick the wife's car out of the garage and do some spraying on my ugly chrome bumper covers.

    Thanks.

I removed the covers and lightly scuffed them up. Other than that and a good cleaning just painted them.

I used this because I could get it at my local Menards. I've also used on to paint stuff on my SxS that see a lot of abuse and it's held up well.
