I work a lot, may as well have something that gets me stoked to ride when I have down time.

First night ride was last night with just a lumina 1200 on the helmet. Finally can get time on the bike during weekday even if I’ve gotta work weekends.

Also, how do people mount the rear warning light? I wrapped it around the little bit of seat post I could, but I did hear the tire scrub it on some of the chunk and jumps. I think I moved it out of the way, but not 100% bc the roughest part of trail was over.

That's awesome. Nothing like having your significant others as your riding buddy! Did you go Juliana Joplin? And ya, front derailleurs are paper weights.

I looked at Juliana's, and thought about buying one, heck I'd even buy one if I like the color more than Santa Cruz offered for my size.
However if it comes to resell some guys wouldn't want a Juliana because masculinity lol.

The Furtado looked nice, but the sizes I could find available weren't right.

    It's the 5010.

I really wanted to get those a couple months ago. No stock so I got something else, but I'm wishing I would have waited. Not cheap but also not any worse than the other top options. Be sure to post how you like them and how sizing runs.
All that talk about colors to use and you ended up with black on almost everything? Looks good though!

One of the top choices for my wife too. At 5'0" it's tough to find a good fitting frame.

    Yeah, so...

I was holding off on a colored I9 stem until I got it all put together and was able to see what was gonna work in terms of rise / length using a 50mm that came in a parts takeoff bundle I got.

Then found a hella good deal on a wheelset that came with black hydra hubs.

Basically unbeatable economics said black is what you get. Plus the grey grips, saddle, sidewalls really works for me.

That's the way my bike builds have mostly gone as well. Just let that frame do the talking.

Still might add one piece of flare like a PVD coated oval or something, but it looks so good the way it is.

We Are One does carbon wheels w/ Hydra for 1640 and has a stellar warranty. PLUS! WAO uses normal spokes so if you pop one on a ridetrip, you can buy one locally, instead of having to wait for I9 to mail you a system spoke which I have head can take a while depending on your timing. I love I9 stuff, but a proprietary (or marginal at least) product spec just kills it for me.

You'd want to have a handful of spares and travel with them probably.

    To all,
Who is regularly buying used bikes/parts via a variety of platforms? I've got a market research guy who needs to survey you (30 mins) in exchange for a $50 Amazon card. This needs to be a heavy user with many online transactions for used cycling goods.

Pretty sure Industry 9 carbon is WAO carbon right? Just in the I9 system configuration vs Jbend spokes when you buy from them.

I believe they still are, they dont mention them by name on their site.. The "system" lacing is what ups the price by $200 and I'm not sold that its in any way a tangible benefit over off the shelf straight pull spokes for us mortal riders, and has the downside of advance planning, or having a wheelset down for weeks post-break.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m plenty happy with my peasant level S series. Carbon and ‘system’ series sound great. I doubt I’d feel the difference between alloy, and I know it wouldn’t make me faster.

Fair point! These new ones are the steel series spokes though. Just another option below $2k. I’d be curious to see how these compare to we are one. Especially if i9 still uses we are one as a vendor.

I will let you know how they fit. I’m not too picky so I may not be the best person to review them.
I setup the email notification thing and happened to be sitting at my computer when it came in for the black pair in large. I went to grab my wallet and 45 seconds later they were sold out. I saw the blue pair were in stock and pulled the trigger.

Same, I almost bought them even though I had just grabbed some others.

Wife bought me this sweet Bearclaw Beowulf frame for my Bday. I have most of the parts on order at the shop but might be a month or so before everything comes in. Going with Sunringle Duroc wheels, Reba 100mm fork, Sram G2 brake, and GX drivetrain. Hopefully it'll be finished by Spring. Pretty good XC geometry so it should work well on my Midwest singletrack.
