Thanks, looks like Lowe's has it here. I think I'll try it out.

Nice! If surfaces properly cleaned and at least 6-7 thin coats are applied, plasti dip works very well.

I have done many chrome pieces and all looked great for years.

I just cleaned the crap out of it with some rubbing alcohol (cleaned it twice actually). The worst part of all of it is taping it off so the overspray doesn't get on other stuff. If you take the caps off you could do it easier (but the take off is a pain too from what I saw). Also, be careful when you peel away your tape. I pulled my tape off after the last coat. If you wait til it's dry, it could stick to the tape and then tear when you peel your tape off.

The caps come off real quick. I could see leaving them on for dip but no way I was going to risk it with bed liner. Honestly, I was hoping they'd turn out like crap. It would have given me a reason to buy color matched ones but they look real good.

HAHAHA...I get it. Dipping with them on wasn't too bad. I'd do it again :)

Not a problem. I have been pleased with it. Just take your time and you'll be good. I think my total time was about 4 hours total, but it was pretty cold outside so the drying time was a bit longer.

Well for me personally I like the ability to remove the plastidip if my preferences change but also because I can do it myself instead of having someone paint it for me. I don't have the right equipment to paint but I do have an index finger some tape and extra plastidip cans lol

Almost thought of doing that as well, even though my trd is color matched I like that black look all the way across the bumper especially after I dipped my emblems and saw how nice the black and Cavalry blue contrast each other.

Looks like the dip matches the factory plastic pretty well.

Rockauto sells unpainted caps for around $40, I put those on and it’s matches the flares on the OR almost perfectly.

Not a bad option for sure. But I'll still take my $6 can of dip. Personal preference on all of this really.

Worked great for me, then I got a steel bumper.
