I think there's a reason for this, but I can't recall exactly. There is some sort of adjustment going from SL to LT tires. More tire stuff that I just don't fully understand.

This is why I just trust the website to figure it out. I have been running the pressure recommended by that calculator on my current set, and they're wearing evenly. So far, so good. They happen to be AT3's as well.

I don't think I realized you were on a 245. That makes more sense now. A smaller contact patch will require more pounds because of less square inches touching the road. At least that's how I'm thinking about it.

Before making any decision on how to make those fit check out the discussion "Fitting 35's with minimal trimming" and www.jdfabrication.com

174 page thread with no updated summary on the 1st page....can you gimme the cliffs? Last I checked his "solution" appeared to cost thousands of dollars and basically replaced everything. So unless something has changed...

Depending on you intended use: But no matter what a 33" tire is about the limits to what can be done even with a significant amount of chopping, bending and basically smashing your firewall back. And after that you still have not addressed the weakness with the factory sheet metal lower control arm mounts (get damaged/bent easy), the lack of ability to have a reasonable amount of up and down travel, a good alignment etc. Lifting it and stuffing a larger tire in the opening might be fine for the Mall Crawlers. But not if you actually want your suspension to provide a higher level of performance over stock. My plan is to stay stock length. Utilize there lower control arm mounts, upper control arm, reinforced lower, spindle reinforcement, upper control arm double shear kit with a single coil over. For the parts and labor is significantly more reasonable than any others I have priced out. It will also take care of the foundation to build on if I want to go to there LT set ups later. You can literally use just the lower control arm mounts and an upper control arm be off to a good place for a 33"

Thinking of getting these tires. I got chopped up BFG KM2s that sound roar like lions.

I don’t need a MT, these came on the truck. Looking for quiet smooth ride. I’m about 80% road 20% off road.

are they quiet? Hear they are little louder than other ATs

    How do they wear?

Anything I should know about them before i fork up the cash?

it’s between these and the CooperAt3 xlt

Anyone have these in 285/75r16?? I am about to pull the trigger, but this whole sidewall stuff is making me nervous. Thanks in advance.

If you go through the threads, you'll see some are made in japan, others made in USA. Japan sidewalls are much less aggressive.

Aggressive... less strength? I have bfg km2s and they took a beating in Colorado and Utah and keep trucking.. just loud AF and don’t like how they wear, and they harden after 2 years..

Any chance you’ve got an actual height measurements on those 285/75/17?

Yes, 33.5" on an OEM TRD Sport wheel. I was told by the Toyo tech on the phone that because of the rim width it would be 0.25" smaller than a wider rim and she was right. So if you're running something wider expect to get just a touch more on the diameter.

In case it's helpful, I just bought 285/75r17 load C from TireBuyer. Idk if they are USA or not, but the sidewall pattern looks more raised than the pics of Japan made.20210115_082913.jpg

Looks like US sidewall. It will say right on the sidewall where it's manufactured.

Those ones are USA made. On the fine print of the tire you will see it says made in USA.
