Seems we are on the same age neighborhood...
I made the switch to 29" 2-3 years ago and I love it! - I looked hard at the "Wreckoning" - I think the "offering" would be most like my NORCO "Sight" - which I am really enjoying. I am not looking to change bikes - even if the SIGHT does not match the LR Taco! :D

I have an old mini cooper (the classic kind) - that gets absolutely silly amounts of attention... So far, I've not gotten chatted-up by many people on the Tacoma, but I do notice lots of stares - people often slow down, and drive around me - with faces at the windows - to have a closer look. One guy I did talk to was in a manual 2nd Gen... He commented on the color... BUT I think he fell in love with the truck when he realised mine was also a manual gearbox...
    :burnrubber:

Lots of Tacomas tend to linger for a while (especially built ones) before taking off... - The attention factor is definitely high.

The Army green is my next favourite colour choice... It reminds me of the old Land Rover Defenders... It just means "off Road"!

I really wanted one - but by the time I made it to the US, the LR was in production and it won... Once I saw the Army Green in person, I thought it was just a bit too dark (compared to the Defender version) and I was not thrilled at how easily it showed scratches.

Placed my order for a LR Pro M/T a few weeks back. Still haven't seen it in person since they haven't delivered any in my area yet. Actually, after filling the order the rep at the dealership said that they're whole office is excited to be getting one finally and can't wait to take delivery and see it. Even though everyone keeps saying it's different in person, all the photos you guys have been posting so far has definitely put my nerves at ease  Can't wait!

You won't be disappointed. It's a spectacular color. Photo's do not do it justice.

I think this photo is really close to how I see it most of the time. mudERjeJMY5QGeK10s0z234_egUwMhVHloZF85RW_db263eff326a086c546fa1dadf5dbf946ffce01f.jpg

On Saturday I went out to eat. A cement taco parked in front of me. As we were both getting out of our vehicles, he said “nice color”. It does look great in person I do say so myself.

I have the same story (as far as the comments) with a Cement Taco Owner.
    - Then he found out that it was a manual and then he really drooled!

Saturation is turned up about 20% in this photo. Warmth is up about 5-10% (Not hdr, just brightness, saturation and warmth adjustment.)

here it is with no warmth or saturation adjustments.

Waiting on RCI sliders and KO2 265/75/16. Any way to get the Baja design fog lights on this rig? Not looking to cut or modify the front end.

    Looking good!

How was the Install of the Rack (what was the issue?) - I like the look of the Prinsu - and also the upTop overland one (pricier)... I was quite eager for the roof rack at first, but I am holding off for now hoping to keep stuff off the top and back in the bed as much as possible.

How is the wind noise? Any impact on MPG? Do you see any way that the prinsu can be taken on & off as needed? (Ideally, I would not want it on there full-time...)

Measure twice cut once was my issue. Possibly one to many beers with my brother before the install. My weather stripping hole I cut were off so the screws didn't line up to the pre cut holes. Deff more wind noise but that's what the radio volume knob is for! Not sure on MPG as its only a day old. Taking off would be a pain in MHO. Taking off the accessories is more of an option.

Would love to see a couple of pics of your rig after you get those tires mounted. I am looking at the exact same tires. Your truck looks fantastic!

I also love the look of the KO2's, but with my truck as a daily driver, I'm struggling to pull the trigger on an E rated tire (nothing else available in 265/75R16). Curious to know if anybody has compared or has any feedback on how much of a difference the extra weight really makes.

Check out the new Maxxis RAZR AT-811's. The SL rated is only 38.5 lbs.

Maxxis is wildly popular with my family in NZ and they look the bee's knees. I'm just waiting for my size to be available again.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/maxxis-razr-at-in-e-and-sl.687907/

Edit: Yes, the extra weight of an E rated tire sucks. It's sprung mass. Your truck has to work harder to spin up, slow down and damp the suspension movement of such a heavy tire. I don't ever want to put E-rated tires on a Tacoma again.

Looks like a nice tire! Looks like they only offer a non-E-rated version in 265/70R16 though - nothing in 265/75R16 :(

Can anybody lend some insight into the next batch production of this truck in a manual? I've been following this thread for a while and it's doing nothing but stoking my anticipation and I was hoping to gain a realistic time frame to ease my mind.
