What a shocker this Nebraska weather is when returning from Phoenix. Lows in the 40's highs in the 70's to blizzard conditions

 

That's what it is every time we come back from Hawaii. Make you want to get right back on the plane!

 

I worked in this electric room back in ‘08 when I was an apprentice. Working here again as a master with an apprentice of my own. How time flies.
also we never really travel, so it’s the closest thing to a tropical vacation I’ll get cause there’s steam lines right behind me!

 

08 feels like a few weeks ago at times .

I have been doing this job 15 years plus sure does not feel that long

Not surprisingly, there are a couple of electrical rooms that look virtually identical to that here.

It's areas like this where you can't find the damn light switch that I don't like.

 

I just got the green light from the boss man to take off early so I can try to figure out what to do for our anniversary tomorrow...

 

Head Lamp for the win I would be so lost not having one.

I have to read Serial numbers in the dark all to often.

 

Run and Hide you might get far enough away till your missed.

I often pack two flashlights when entering deep machine room crawl spaces. Shuck the radio, cell phones, keys & any other useless thing or somethin I can lose. Then go down there & see how the other half lives.

 

Flash lights have there place no doubt but it is a royal pain trying to hold a light and do much of anything .

I wanted an extra arm or two but finding shirts was much to difficult .

 

Yeah, got me a Pelican headlamp too. Thing is, the Co. doesn’t have the batteries, so I only use it when I really need to.

 

I buy anything I need to make my Job easier .

I need all the tax write offs I can pay the tax or have useful expenses .

 

Happy anniversary tomorrow, how many years?

 

My wife wanted to paint the bathroom 2 different colors, walls one color, ceiling another. I dreaded it, I don’t like to paint in the first place and I don’t want any crown molding in it. Painting for me isn’t bad, it’s the trying to paint the straight lines and not overlap them I suck at.

I just ask her to go get some paint so I can paint it tomorrow, took me a year and a month but I’m finally mentally prepared.

She said she only wants to paint it one color now
