My folks had a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis that ran R-12..they did have it converted eventually though.

 

Put about 30 or so miles on the car today just lightly cruising a few local roads, March is usually the first month l drive it so way ahead this year!

Something similar should be done for repeat offenders for being on the phone while driving.

I've always preferred the sound of the 1st Gen Tacoma door chimes to the ones in the 2nd Gen...

How hard would it be to put a door chime from an older truck in my truck? Obviously, it's not tied into the stereo speakers...?

I'm guessing the physical part(s) would be easy and relatively cheap to obtain, but how hard would it be to actually plug in?

 

I'd agree, though if they just get pulled over for texting and driving/distracted driving but haven't caused an accident or hit anybody, I don't think they should get arrested or lose their license. A fine, points on their license, and the aforementioned plate will suffice...

Washington state (possibly Oregon; One of the Northwest states) has a "DUI-E" (Driving Under the Influence of Electronics) law; IT does not result in an arrest or loss of driving privileges, but it results in a much more substantial fine (and possibly points) than before the law was enacted.

 

Where do you get the velcro patches you put on your headliner?

 

Here's the diagrams for each, 1st gen looks like it's a separate module, 2nd gen it's built into the instrument cluster.
