As long as I don't have to get out of the truck to lock the hubs I am good. I also hope it gets fixed and he didn't pay $450 From stealership. I ended up paying $280 at autozone for a Techsmart with a 3 year warranty. I still haven't taken apart my old one but with 245k and me working an hour and a half out of town I just decided to nip it in the bud. I am guessing I broke a gear or it got stuck but it was completely dead till I rapped on it with a hammer

Hey fellas, forgot about this thread and want to report back that I was able to get my 4WD issue fixed.

turns out it was actually the 4wd selector switch. Very easy to repair and I was probably the one who damaged the switch in the first place by putting an aftermarket knob on it. The switch can be had from Amazon and eBay for around $50 bucks. Stealership wanted 90 bucks for it (just FYI).

Everything with my 4wd system has been working without fail since then.

just though I’d circle back and share for the good of the group.
