Dealer SOLD my truck - resolved

Dealer is 1600 miles away. I was getting the truck to pick it up. They were waiting on truck to pick it up.

 

Dealerships like to take advantage of anyone they can. Many legitimately employ some of the most morally bankrupt people I’ve ever met.

 

If it was me I would get my deposit back and never do business with them again. They already lost your trust why would you give it back. Good luck on your search.

They probably got a better price and ... maybe they want you to drop out and take your money back.

I would make them "Honor The Original Deal" ... and call Toyota Corp if they don't.

PS: Hate to say it ... some dealers take advantage of females.

Not common but when I bought mine, I saw it online Thurs AM and called about it, made an appt to see it after work. I get there and it's up on the lift doing the Certified inspection. No prob..they checked credit, approved me for the loan. I gave a refundable deposit (which I got in writing) and drove it Friday PM. Said ok I'll take it, brought my trade back Saturday since I had to remove my stereo.

 

I think you are about $1000 too much money on the truck. sticker price times .9 less $1000 incentive. so 33,200

 

A company worth profits of 5.5 million last year.

I think they can do better.

Let me know what they back to with on price , I picked up a 2020 4x4 or with only led headlight option in June for 32,504 plus tax . They have the best deals on this coast I’ve found

Being that their was no paper trail.. I can see why they sold it . Weird that they didn’t give you any documents at time of deposit . It’s not like it’s 1990 ... just saying

 

My experience with this particular dealer goes back to 1996. I was shopping for a new 4Runner. I didn't see any new ones on the lot. A salesman approached me and I told him what I was interested in a new 4Runner. His reply was very snobbish; well, I'll tell you, we have a few new ones on their way but they're usually sold before we get them, and we get what we want for them. I've purchased 4 new Toyota vehicles since then and never bothered to ever shop there.
I wouldn't consider it a female treatment thing, more so a snobby we only cater to the rich and shameless buyer type thing. Sorry to hear of this!
